NOA2 Expiration date?

What happens when my NOA2 date expires, because it is coming up shortly? Do I have to call the Embassy? I hope not, as I have been calling them frequently for one reason or another.

The consulate will renew it automatically if they have the case there. However, you may want to send them an email anyway to confirm.

I already sent them an e-mail this week regarding this question, here's their answer (was also an innocent attempt to get a date :
