My husband and I are going home for the Holidays. He has had his greencard for almost a year now. What all shoukd we take with us when we go? His Haitian Passport... Visa? Greencard? Everything? Do you think there will be issues trying to leave Haiti when we come home? So many things are going through my head because you never know what you will run into when you are in Haiti :) any advice would be great!!

Thanks all!!!

To come back into the USA you will only require your green card, nothing else. There shouldn't be any problems coming back unless you have warrants out for your arrest or you're on some watch list, which I doubt that you are. You will only require your Haitian passport to enter Haiti; it proves that you are a Haitian citizen. So to summarize, Haitian passport to enter Haiti, green card to come back.

My wife had to show her passport the last couple of times returning to the US. The last CBP officer wrote "CWOP" on her K-1 visa. Not sure why he felt the need to cancel an already used and expired visa that resulted in the GC he had in front of him.

Yes, you are supposed to be able to enter the US using only the GC, but MAY be asked for the passport too. SInce you need both to travel, it is not a big deal, but I just thought I would throw out our experiences here in Denver.
