If scan date is 12/10 the 60 days would place it in Early February not March.

Yes, but a cc in February would likely result in a March interview.

Does anyone know, the reason NVC is so backlogged, as when my wife's K-1 was processed in early 2013, her paper work was there less than 24 hours, and forwarded to the Manila embassy.

What has happened? Would really like to have some opinions, as I have a friend going through K-1, fiance is in Cebu, Philippines.

I would like to know this, too. It seems absolutely insane.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED :thumbs: (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding! :thumbs:

Does anyone know, the reason NVC is so backlogged, as when my wife's K-1 was processed in early 2013, her paper work was there less than 24 hours, and forwarded to the Manila embassy.

What has happened? Would really like to have some opinions, as I have a friend going through K-1, fiance is in Cebu, Philippines.

The backlogs are mainly affecting spouse visa applicants because their paperwork is processed at NVC, not the embassy as a K1 applicant is. Any mistakes in the paperwork and the spouse applicant is forced to wait an extra 60 days for their corrections to be reviewed.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

 

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

 

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I'm sorry. All this new stuff at NVC I'm not on top of. I thought the 60 days :clock: clock starts at scan time. Seems that way for so many. Well even better if they are done in February.

Your right Dwheels it does start at scan date. But 60 days as of 12/10 would still mean CC early February. I counted the days lol Cuz I'm hoping for scan date this week so mine wil be a couple weeks after Ngozi's. And please don't apologise you do amazing work to help us all. I always pop over to 'case complete to interviews' it gives me so much hope ? thank you!

Just found out that My aos status changed from paid to n/a. Then i submitted all aos document and civil documents and hoping for a case compete soon but still found an N/A status both. So i got 3 n/a's now. Does anyone here are having the same problem or i will wait again for nvc to send me another checklist and wait for 60 more days again when i am supposed to be closer to my case complete..

Just found out that My aos status changed from paid to n/a. Then i submitted all aos document and civil documents and hoping for a case compete soon but still found an N/A status both. So i got 3 n/a's now. Does anyone here are having the same problem or i will wait again for nvc to send me another checklist and wait for 60 more days again when i am supposed to be closer to my case complete..

Call NVC if you are able to. If you have submitted all your documents and paid all your fees (AOS and IV) and filled out Ds260 and Ds261 --- then you might have CC. They say that after all is done above and AOS fee changes to NA then it might be CC!

Oh yeah my case is really complete! They are just gonna make me download and sign 1 form and i will have to send it to my daughter so she can take it with her on her interview. Still waiting for her dad's (my husband) case complete. I sent their petition at the same time. I think there wont be interview date yet for my daughter because we are still waiting for my husband's case complete

Congrats Kiethshun! Hopefully they CC your husbands one soon to. I'd be calling then again very soon to ask what the update is and what is the hold up. Especially if all docs where submitted together. Sometimes giving them a helpful reminder pushes things along a bit at the stage your at.

Thanks. Yeah.. They dnt do something if you don't call them.. I dnt know because my husband's problem is only bad email and i hope i dnt get another 60 days waiting just for an email update.
