hello everyone

I am applying under the three year rule. all conditions are met

but I used to have another green card (I-751) pending many moons ago from a previous marriage

and I was in limbo land for close to three years, that's a total of 5 years in conditional status until I left the US to go back to my home country for a good job opportunity (after 5 months of unemployment)

as a result I ended up losing that green card

so filed the whole I-130 and got the immigrant visa approved at the US embassy, and came back to the US back in march 12

the officer at the US embassy said the following , quote

" I understand why you abandoned the green card, please make sure it does not happen again, and we will work with uscis to remove the derogatory remarks in your file"

at the interview stage, would that previous history come up? does it have any bearing on my current case

I don't think so, but if you have been through the immigration road that I have been in with getting nothing but a stamp on your passport year after year - you would not sleep very well at night :)

They may mention it, but I doubt it will be a major issue.
