Yet another DHL rant for Jamaica

Husband was approved on December 5th. CEAC showed issued on December 8th.

After the CO advised my husband (on 12/5) he was approved she told him to check the site in two days and the visa would be ready.

We called DHL on 12/11 and was told the visa had not been given to them. I emailed the embassy to inquire the status on 12/11 still waiting on a reply from the embassy. I called customer support for usvia-info.com this morning.... here is what I was told "It does not matter that CEAC shows issued. Until you have a waybill number on our site your case is in AP. The embassy has yet to send it to DHL. Once that happens the site will be updated. You can keep checking or give us a call back." :ranting: No, sir once CEAC shows issued that means the visa has been printed into the passport and it is not in AP. I ended the call and will try again later.

I understand each case is different but its very upsetting that we have been approved and issued and still can't move forward.

True statement - "It does not matter that CEAC shows issued. Until you have a waybill number on our site your case is in AP. The embassy has yet to send it to DHL. Once that happens the site will be updated.

It takes a week from when issued to waybill number showing in your account. The passport has to be issued, printed, reviewed for accuracy, and then packaged with your documents before DHL can pick it up. Once DHL picks it up, and then processes it on their end, is when waybill is entered into your account information.

You will see that they post waybills either on Friday, Monday, or Tuesday. He should be able to pick up passport by the end of next week.

I am wondering if your documents submitted at interview is in a pile awaiting review since no review was done at NVC. Your visa is approved but they are waiting for someone to complete review. That's my guess. I saw someone with 12/8/14 interview got visa package on 12/12/14.

They had our documents before the inteview and only needed my husbands original birth certificate which he gave them at the interview. CEAC still shows issued not AP. My husband was told that the visa would be ready in about two days and to check the registration site at that time. I'm not sure what is going on with it. I don't understand it changing to issued if they were still reviewing the case.

Yes, I sent an email to ask about the waybill number to track the visa for pick up. Once CEAC shows issued you are to check the ais.usvisa-info.com website. This is where they provide you with the waybill number for DHL tracking. I would send an email to them. He may need to send them the joint sponser form.
