How long does it take an applicant to get the passport after the interview?

Hi, they can definitely mail it to other city , they can not mail it to your address but they will mail it through the bank which is the bank you paid your interview fee. when you set up your appointment online, there will be a selection that you need to choose the nearest bank around you so that you can go pick up your ppassport at the bank. So after the interview you can call the bank to check if your passport is there yet. It took us about 2 weeks to get the passport from the bank. Good luck!

If you are talking about the K1 visa interview,

our's took about 2 weeks to deliver.

10-04-2013 We met online
11-21-2013 We met in person in Shanghai for 2 weeks

12-13-2013 I-129F packet sent via express

12-19-2013 USCIS NOA #1 (text and email) received

12-24-2013 USCIS assigns Alien Registration Number
12-31-2013 USCIS NOA #1 hard copy received
06-02-2014 USCIS web site shows NOA #2 approval
06-06-2014 USCIS web site shows case sent to NVC

06-xx-2014 Fiancee acquired birth, marriage, and police certificates from local police station (wrong)

06-16-2014 NVC creates case with GUZ### number

06-19-2014 NVC sends case sent to Guangzhou, China
06-24-2014 Received packet 3 express mail from embassy
06-25-2014 Completed DS-160 and paid K1 visa fee

about two weeks is the going time. citic bank courier ring a bell... ? we interviewed on the 25 of nov and just got passport on monday. After your get passport with visa in passport you are a safe bet to buy plane ticket.

I haven't found a post related with this topic, but i really want to know if the Guangzhou Consulate can mail the passport to other cities after the interview.

eh - maybe .

they go by the document delivery coverpage, generated at the ustraveldocs.com/cn web portal,

and

it's possible to change this, but even after changing, you must make GUZ IV aware of the change via the email webform thingie.

Please know it's going to go to a CITIC Bank office via CITIC BANK COURIER, it's my understanding they'll hold it at the bank office up to 2 weeks - surely your fiance can return within 2 weeks after CITIC delivery?

as to how long - 1 to 4 weeks, depending on queues at the IV Unit.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
