This coward couldn't just take his own life, he had steal her life as well. Even before she came to the USA, this loser was living with his parents and needed them to co-sponsor in order to get approved for a fiancee visa. Filipinas - if your Kano doesn't even make enough to sponsor you, call it off! Don't think that love is blind - it takes a commitment, including a financial commitment. What a senseless tragedy.

Maybe he has a bipolar.

My ex bf has a bipolar too. Its a roller coaster relationship. Though he is good looking, really handsome and works as a programmer like doing softwares that makes a lot of money, i was in a crazy relationship. He is only 26... younger than me for like 5 months...

He has a bipolar disorder and during winter,he gets so depressed. When im at work and couldn't reply,he gets crazy and telling me im cheating on him. One time he called and he got upset,he took a knife put on his throat. He said he would kill himself. So i broke up with him and moved. Now im happily married to my husband.

If I would have married him,i would be in and unhappy relationship. So ladies, when looking for a mate, dont rush. Dont look for someone who is good looking or rich. Look for someone who has a good heart, God-fearing, who would respect you and would love your family. If he's aggressive, think twice. Nd never ever rush. Dont marry a stranger!

Thank you for sharing your story. It's important to understand the many different personalities in the world, some good some not so good. Your advice should be read by all that immigrate to any country, not just USA. RIP Whichelle.

I agree. If a couple needs help with sponsorship of the visa. Regardless of the type of visa, They probably should wait. Money problems is the last thing a couple need, trying to start a life together

This is, indeed, very sad and I agree that he was a coward. However, I really think it is unfair to lump every person who lives at home and needs a co-sponsor into this category. Financial limitations do not make someone a potential murderer. On the other hand, financial security does not rule out the risks. Get to know the person you love as best you can and then move forward...like all of us did.

True there are a lot of situations where a person is trying and just need a little financial help short term. However if a person has no job and is living with and depending on family, applying for any type of visa is not a good ideal

Agree with Stevephoto. Not fair to lump people that have a co sponsor. What if you had a great paying job but then got laid off? Especially when you have to submit forms stating your income! So blaming all co-sponsors as bad people is just wrong.

I am sorry for what happened, it's one reason we have both said joining the community of Filipinos in our area is a great idea! Never go at it alone, and never assume someone is always happy.

That article didn't have any other information available, and looking at their timeline, they didn't post much about what was happening with them. Not faulting that, I am a very private person, and I don't know any of you. It's great to get your advice, share our failures so others don't fall into the same trap. But at the end of the day, I go out in my community and interact with them more often.

I pray for her and her family, and hope that whatever demons were hounding him will have finally relented.

Other articles I've found said he was recently discharged from the US Navy, so he definitely had some income the last four years and depending on the rank & billet possibly housing or housing subsidies.

Nothing I've seen mentioned if it was an honorable or a less than honorable discharge. Wonder if his separation from the service was a factor in him losing it or was another symptom.

Same thing with my ex US Navy that l met online too, he gets mad easily over little things. He always gets annoyed and mad at me when l don't argue or fight with him back. Our relationship was like a movie, he was the movie director/writer and l was the character/actress. Because he always tells me what to do and when l don't follow him, he gets angry. Ayayay! I broke with him early last year because l got really scared when seeing him mad at me. Aside from that, l found out he just fooled on me, he did many lies. Anyways lesson learned, do not look for the physical appearance as your top criteria for searching/looking online because looks can be deceiving sometimes. RlP Wichelle :(

It was Wichelle (the victim) that was in the US Navy, not her husband.
