It's my fault really he got used to me doing everything as I was a home and he worked. Problem is now he has his head stuck in the mud and doesn't seem to think he needs to do anything as we have kids that can do it :ranting:

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

re: I don't want to decimate her. I think she needs help in learning how to lead/supervise. I just am not sure how to act ...do I just put my head down and send her every little thing for approval and apologize if i make a mistake ? I did that and she said

I need to toughen up and have more personality but then if i do have personality she does not like it. I feel like there is no way i can be to satisfy her. Last time she talked to me about "my performance" she ran away literally after talking to me without

hearing any feedback from me. She just got up and left to breathe it out.....feedback attack full on. uh....I guess put my head down and try to do the best I possibly can and hope for the best.

I think you intimidate her. She's afraid of you :)

But I have no idea what advice to give you... My supervisor gives me some freedom on dealing with things... Maybe she has to learn that or something...

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

A fellow staff member signed a legal document on behalf of a parent and i double checked with my boss to make sure it was ok. Of course, it wasnt. And to top it off she didnt sign her own name, ie it was forged. Now she is mad at me for telling on her lol.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

depends on what kinda document it is. That's known as "Forgery" and "Criminal possession of a forged instrument". All felonies.....


The most common offense of such type is a fake drivers license, and altering a temporary registration (Like changing the expiration date).

I dunno how Tiff did it. She got the nanny to agree to work for dirt cheap after this month. 5 days a week, various hours.....

I guess she likes it here. She even cleaned my man cave bathroom.....

i didn't even mean to tell on her. i was genuinely confused and wondered if it was possible - it would cut down on so much time and effort chasing after clients for their wet signatures! if i were her, i'd just pretend i didn't know that it was not allowed either and keep quiet about it. as it is, she's just making things look worse for herself.
