It hurts like the dickens when a child is sick, sigh ma'am...

How dare you guys be so chatty when I'm at a training class all day. And trying to ditch me by creating a new thread is pure evil.

I got a headache and took some Tarklynol yesterday. Didn't help the headache, although now my back hurts, but I'm too cheap to buy some real painkillers, and I have a sudden desire to head south of the border. How long does it take that stuff to wear off?

Why would you want to get up early when you've got to be somewhere? If you don't want to be there, there's certainly no reason to be wide awake for it.

So I'm in a training class yesterday. Six people in the class. Four of us are programmers and need to learns to the ins and out of programming this hardware. The other two that came together are end users. They have machines that use the hardware and want to be aware of the programming that went into them, and how to adjust things. One of those two likes to hear himself talk. He keeps interrupting the instructor with stupid questions that are nothing more than talking about the machines they have and how he doesn't understand what they've programmed into them. Killing valuable instruction time I certainly wanted to get. I kept thinking I wanted to throw something at the back of his shiny bald head. I almost did when I asked a question on calibration from the vision system to real word units, something very very important to what I'll be doing, and he interrupts the instructor giving an answer to go into one of his stupid in our machine stories again. Then when he finishes with another wasted 10 minute diarrhea of the mouth, says what he was asking (me) and rephrases my question to the instructor to a question I was not asking. When the instructor finished answering the question I did not ask, I spoke up to say what I had really asked and again asked my original question. Which as least kind of shut him up for the last two hours of the class, to a degree. I think he noticed people were irritated with him. As the class ended, I noticed his partner from the same company as he was from, couldn't get away from him fast enough. So I guess he doesn't make many friends around his office either.
