Hey everyone, meet Skittles!

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d157/nikildun/20141226_144602.jpg

One seriously laid back tabby cat. :)

Nice looking boy there, my older daughter loves orange cats.

Border officer was grumpy. Couldn't understand why we would go up to Canada to go to Ikea. Canadian CPB was polite, American not so much.

They US border guy was kinda rude with my husband fiance at the time when he was leaving Canada. The guy was like what are you doing with a girl in Canada when your from Arkansas. He started drilling him, hubby so very wanted to say hey are you going to let me in or what? But he behaved and then went on his way.

I gotta say, I had 1 bad border crossing experience. (Buffalo NY, US side).

But I also gotta say, I'm one of those types that almost always know how to come through in the rough.

The Canadian guys have always been aces.

They even let me off the hook doing about 200 kph by Barrie :content:

Always been my experience as well Nola.

But I wanna know why Trophie likes paying an extra 10% tax.

Hrm Manitoba pays an 8% PST as well as 5% GST. Whats the duty costs?

<shrugs>

But I know MN sales tax can't be close to that......

I remember long ago, you filled out a form at customs with all your receipts, and they refunded you the GST.

But they stopped doing it.

It is 6 something around here, but the gas savings of going 2 hours vs 6 hours away is worth it.

There was no duty because we didn't spend more than 200 each, but they didn't even ask the dollar amount.

Um, that's everywhere, except Delaware. Delaware has no sales tax.

We pay 8.75. What do you pay?

8% because I live in Arapahoe county. If I lived further south, in Douglas county it would be 8.75% in the same city. Do you pay based off where you live or where you shop? All I know is it's more than Alberta.
