As for the Gump kid. He's wild, I can set the rules. But he'd just forget them in 5 minutes.

I'm beginning to see that his fits may be prevailing now as ADHD. He has no attention span and has a hard time learning in school. I think maybe Gump is that way too, that's why he's retarded.

At the same time, I'm one of those that is skeptical about whether there's such a thing as ADHD, or ADD.....

I've no malicious intent.

The Gumps pissed me off last year. That's over.

They have lots of problems ahead.

I only concern myself because I don't want it to end up effecting my family.

So my SIL let a 4 month old tell her what to do.

If I recall, this is where some of their problems began. When they let little Gump dictate to them what he wants. The kid was never taught the word "no".

maybe time to call the psychiatric sherrif's office in yer county, ask for a home-visit, a 'wellness check' or whatever it's called there; mentioning that the parents are allowing the child to self-harm at least twice a day.

'self-harm' is a magic label - will get a car rolling quickly.

Tiff was sick of that kid finally. Her OCD overcame her mother like love for that kid. He and my kid made a complete mess. The difference is, my daughter cleans up.

This kid trashed the place.

But that's not necessary, the schools here have a tremendous amount of resource.

But a part of the problem, if you recall, is the Gumps' denial that there's a problem to begin with.

No tiff keeps the house very clean. But she's not 100% yet. The nanny has been aces.

OK - so for next time,

have a set of 15 cane sticks (rush? bamboo? something 1/2 inch across) where Tiff can easily get to them. Her parents had em, used for discipline at the home - she knows how to wield one and use it - I think she'll have great muscle memory kick in when she sees the Gump Jr destroying the house the next time.

Heck, you can even get a LARGE piece of bamboo, 11 inches across, to make into a holder or stand for the set of 15 sticks.... and yes, as always, don't tell her about it - rely on her muscle memory kicking in at the appropriate time inside of yer house.
