eh - got a krewe together yesterday, made 4000 steamed chinese dumplings, just returned from dropping off at 5 mens shelters downtown.

I've no plans for christmas - family scattered, no one around me to enjoy the season - it's all abysmal. So I ain't cooking anything for the season this week. Oh, I did a crockpot thingie sunday, will be eating it throughout the week. but that's basic bachelor food, and no other cooking plans.

But I am optimistic, not have any depression this season, really.

That's good you cook for the homeless. I used to do that for a shelter in Boston, I need to get back to it. That's a lot of dumplings man!

Keep your chin up D, things will get better. Keep yourself occupied, maybe go down to one of those shelters and help distribute the food.

Apparently I am spending way too much money because I am actually buying things for my own child rather than relying on other people to do it? Ummm, ok?

Well of course she is! If buy buy the things you need then what is everyone else going to buy?

I heard that so many times it's nuts, but even when I don't tell ppl I have things they still wouldn't of bought what I needed.
