A Christmas hamper from my brother arrived today! Real Christmas pudding! Life is good!

I did a Christmas-y thing, also.

There's a chinese church around the corner , I had signed up to do some volunteering ages ago, and my turn came up yesterday. So I went in for the stuff, then there was a meal, then there was a Christmas Pageant. I rededicated my life to God, yesterday. I haven't done much Christmas things the last 5 years in the USA - it was actually good to do stuff last night. Yes, cried my eyes out for almost 2 hours, but is different, wasn't crying about her.

The meal was really good, and I brought a lot of it home.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

In case anyone wants the recipe for the best homemade Tzaziki ever..

Greek tzaziki
Ingredients:

½ a large cucumber, unpeeled (I grated it with a cheese grater... you could also chop it or use a food processor I think)
1½ cups plain full-fat Greek yogurt
2 large garlic cloves, finely minced (used my garlic press - can add a little less garlic if you want, but I like garlic)
2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 Tablespoon white vinegar
½ teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon minced fresh dill

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.  - Dr. Seuss

i had something similar last month. 4 days of nothing but gatorade and home remedies, and then another whole week of not being able to eat normally. what helped me was rice water (boil rice on the stove, strain the rice and drink the water) and copious amounts of mint tea (i added some lemon to my tea to counter my nausea once i started eating solids again).

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!
