you might want to think to invite some therapist in for a meal when she's home, then start the conversation with the 3 of you. it's obvious she won't go in to any office with you - you should bring 'the office' to your home, for an evening meal. prep the therapist with the list of stuff, prior, so the therapist knows the backstory.

a woman won't listen to the man, ever. you know that. need a 3rd human, well versed in your list, prior to first meetup with the 3 of you.

if you actually did that, then you'd be having conversations like, "hey - remember when we talked with Ms. Jones, she went over the list of things that were causing problems inside our home? these problems not resolved. Do you think you'll make time to resolve them, this quarter, or no?"

It's a totally different conversation, with a therapist in the mix. Seriously.

Personally would never use a marriage counselor. I'll bounce ideas off my friends, his friends, his mom, maybe my mom, but we have to communicate with each other without a translator.

I notice that the best public schools tend to come from states with good universities, and are generally east, north, and close to Canada. Wyoming being an exception.

Well, yes and no. There are actually some good statistical differences, but I think people are scared to point them out. With the exception of Florida, states with high rates of new Spanish speaking immigrants and/or with a more recent history of segregation have lower scores.

Since we are on the subject of schooling, I noticed a lot of the school districts by me really struggling under the weight of having the resources to educate the children of migrant farm workers. Like our school district doesn't have the resources to do ESL, especially when the kids aren't there for the full school year.
