How does she do in math?

She can do multi-column addition with carryover, easy multiplication/division, and basic algebra. That is not surprising. Her father and I were very gifted in mathematics and physics. I won't bore you with the details of my homeschooling regime in maths and sciences, though.

I think they are still working on counting at her current Kindergarten. :sleepy:

That is what I mean. Didn't you hold her back to match her up with the kids there? So her year is repeated work, she will do better with the stuff she already knows. Follow your gut if you think something is off get her tested.

Oh yeah, I think that is part of the problem. I watch the way she learns and the way she thinks. I don't think a teacher with 16 kids has that kind of time.

CT has more teachers, as do NYC.

I'll say this - the only way I remember stuff is to write it down, pencil or keyboard. If I don't write it down, I rarely remember it. Maybe that technique would be useful for her, some copying out of the newspaper, 3 articles a day?
