Brat I'll tell you right now, no way in heel is Singapore more diversified than even NYC, let alone the entire USA. You've only seen a very tiny part of a very large picture.

But I didn't say that they're not ethnically diverse.

Singapore, I don't care how great it is. It's tiny. The entire GDP of Singapore does not equate close to what our top universities spend on research alone in a year. No way can anyone learn as much over there as here.

Let me ask you this, what is Singapore's equivalent of say....MIT? Or, the U.S. naval academy? Any ivy league university? The mayo clinic? Texas A&M? cal-Tech? The USMMA?

But you're right, it may be better suited for what you're doing.

I'm not trying to say you should go to school here. But in the real world. I'm sorry to inform you that Singapore doesn't hold a candle to the U.S. in real stuff universities of substance.

And I really don't mean to insult Singapore.

But you're grossly underestimating the diversity here vs Singapore in regards to every aspect possible, and the education available here.

you're comparing apples to oranges. darnell is/was asking me to attend a university in washington state. it's like you're comparing WSU with harvard/yale. i'm not trying to line NUS up against 'branded' universities because that is just not what they are.

compare the diversity between NUS and University of WA. lol.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

Well it took awhile got the cabbage rolls in the oven cooking. Baby finally went to sleep, seems the second tooth is working its way out now so the poor boy is not a happy camper.

What kinda jerky are you stuffing it with?

ground beef, jerky would be too hard to stuff them with.

Hubs likes cabbage rolls but not the tomato sauce part. I wonder if he'd like a red wine reduction sauce better?

My mom makes them with tomato soup, they are good like that too.

Tiff is back from handing out 64 quarts of post partum soup to friends and family.....

And she got me VC coffee

So she had a productive day, and brought you home a treat!

In other food news - I got the little one to eat spinach last night and actually like it!

She really has a very limited range of fruits and vegetables, so this is exciting.

Yay! I found my kids started eating more veggies when I started a garden.

SO daughter sprung on me that her boyfriend wants her to move to Canada and in with him. :girlwerewolf2xn::girlwerewolf2xn:

They still haven't met, he says he will be visiting in March we shall see!

So far their is no way on earth she is going anywhere.

Ok, point well made.

But consider this, too...

In Singapore, the level of political correctness is not quite the same as the USA. Nor is the human rights, equal rights issue. It's a different ball game over there, am I right?

I have to add, point well made. Darklar is retarded.....

We've had a garden most years - lots of lettuce, fresh green beans and peas, and tomatoes and she wouldn't touch them.

Do you have guardianship over her?

I have to cut up veggies to bits and pieces for my daughter to eat it. But she'll eat most veggies.

I don't know what the deal is with her because she ate them as a baby (which I never did), but aged up a little and she'll still eat baby food peas and beans, but nothing else unless you force her too and then it is only a bite. I get why she won't have more because veggies tasted like someone had sprayed them with bathroom cleaner until I turned 21 too.

More worrying though is the limited range of fruit too - just strawberries, bananas, and apple sauce. It doesn't matter how sweet or good anything else I present is. :ranting:

Well, at least she isn't loading up on junk - she eats pretty much all seafood (haven't tried oysters yet), eggs, and tons of meat. She also doesn't like candy.

Stretch, he's a maritimer? Or a newfie?

Not a newfie, he's in Nova Scotia

Tastes buds are always changing so keep trying.

No guardianship, she won't push the issue.

I have everything organized to get her started with the disability paper work. I don't think I need to go as far as guardianship, she listens to reason when I can explain things.

She's not to the point where she can't be trusted on her own. I just don't trust the boy when it comes to her as she is much more naive then most her age some of it will come as she gets older others will be life lessons. I just can't be much help if she is in Nova Scotia.

Yeah, I've always been a big fruit eater, with the only exception being blueberries. I just don't get how a kid could turn down watermelon or a super sweet nectarine.

Oh, the kid sometimes eats grapes. Yep. Diversity. FTR, I don't consider potatoes and corn, which she does eat, to be real veggies - they are like grains from a health standpoint.

I will look for it at the stores, but we don't have that much selection.

you know Troph (actually, you might know). The Chinese are well known for preparing delicious veggie dishes. And a lot of the veggies are even made with ordinary white people veggies, such as lettuce and mustard greens, carrots and peas.

A simple and good recipe worth a try is an easy dish. Boiled lettuce with oyster sauce. When I say boiled, I mean boiled for like 30 seconds. Google it.

Stir fried bok choy or Choy sum. Choy sum is a mild veggie with a sweet taste. you can stir fry it with some beef cubes, or boil and oyster sauce/ soy sauce. Even try some gravy with it.

My kid doesn't eat peaches.

Troph, I wonder if she'll eat green leafy veggies, not overcooked, cut up (after cooking)

Spinach taste like carp tho, I think Choy sum is your answer. I bet you can find it there.
