What? Ever?

I thought you meet in Singrapore....

his first time ever. first time we met in person, i flew to the US. he didn't have the money to pay for airfare plus accommodation plus time off work plus expenses. he did not have (still does not have) a passport.

he's really come a long way since i met him. more than doubled his income. went from renting crappy rooms to now renting a whole apartment in a nice, safe area. bought a non shitty car. he is also for the first time ever actually putting money aside in a savings account every month. he's stepped up in so many ways. <3

but, yes, he still needs to work on getting a passport lol.

When my husband came to visit me, it was the first time he had ever been on a plane! His family used to go places, but he never wanted to go, so it just never happened. He had been to other countries via car or ferry.

Does he at least have an enhanced driver's license instead of a passport? You guys live kind of close to Canada and it would be a shame not to be able to go if you wanted to.

Well, that is unfortunate. In the last week there have been two accidents in which the vehicles did not stop for a train in the surrounding area. Today was a school bus full of children. These crossings without the gates that come down are dangerous.
