I think it must be hard to deal with those issues. Pretty much all issues with blended families suck unless the adults are being super responsible and well behaved.

I'm making chicken teriyaki (not sure how to spell that one. I copied it off the recipe, maybe spell check is the one with the issues this time ) chicken and rice for supper. I wanted something with rice.

My husband would get a little jealous of my ex talking to me when he wasn't home. Because I know this, I'd make sure my ex dropped presents off when hubs is home as well.

However it sounds like the wife is trying to avoid issues and ended up having them instead.

I agree, they need to talk to each other and figure it out themselves or they'll never learn how to walk that line.

He seems to really like it. Hubs says it stinks (it does).

Hubs wanted to feed IAMS. I looked and the second ingredient was beet pulp. Now I would feed beet pulp to a horse that was in heavy work or needed to gain weight. If I'm feeding it to a horse, why the heck does a cat need it? It's really high in fibre plus it swells when wet (you have to moisten it for hours - overnight for feeding to a horse.)

I think we can stick with the cheap wet food, and have this dry food as well. A big bag is only $42 which is about what I was expecting to pay. (Used to pay that much for the dog's food when I was growing up.) And with 5 dogs, that got expensive! LOL

They each approach me at separate times. I lend my ear. But I'm no counselor.

I try to see it from each of their eyes. But beyond that, the last thing I wanna do is get in the middle.

I like the family. He's a hard worker. The wife, she's a family woman, but a big spender. I think the world of the 12 year old, I find that she looks at me as a fatherly figure. She won't hesitate to ask me for help. The 2 boys are 3 and 1, adorable. The older boy is a very pleasant toddler.

But I find myself listening to their problems all the time.....
