cat is being very strange :( we cannot pick him up now without him first whining, then growling, then going batshit crazy trying to get down. i don't think he is injured/hurt because i pressed up and down his back and sides and he didn't react any differently. it's just picking him up that suddenly he doesn't care for at all, when before, he was totally fine with it.

he is still being affectionate though...he is kneading on my thighs right now and drooling all over my legs lol. might take him in to the vet tomorrow - his quarterly physical is due and it's just as well with this strange new behaviour.

I, and later my dad, had a cat like that. Sometimes she was nice and cuddly and sometimes she was a raging beast from hell.

We attributed it to her origins and oxygen deprivation to her brain (she was thrown out in a trash bag next to a store).

My cat is not particularly pleased with me this morning. He was begging for food but he needs to get antibiotics at meal time. I'm pretty familiar with giving them to dogs but cats at a little more wiggly and use a liquid. I got most of it down his throat anyhow and gave him some food to make him happy. At least he has a good appetite still (eating his kibble and wet food) and didn't throw up this antibiotic like he did the one at the vet's.

She said he's a decent weight, could stand to gain a lb but no more than 2.

I keep trying to tell hubs that any kibble that has a grain in the second ingredient spot needs to be struck off our list as an okay food because cats don't need carbs like that. I bought some Iams wet food from work, but only because it was the best wet food at WORK (aka Target) vs being an actual good wet food. Well I guess my old cat did fine on dry friskies and science diet his whole life so at least this cat gets some wet foods.

Good morning Asia.

Congrats! :D

But what school raffle?

Shouldn't a school raffle have some kids things to win?

PTA (Parents Teachers Association) raffle. The money goes to the PTA.

That's what this clown mayor was saying about social inequality.

The schools in the nicer hoods are too nice.....

The parents have more money to give, thus the kids have better learning tools, activities etc....

too fing bad! I worked hard for this!

The ghetto schools have everything handed to them. The schools here don't.

For example. I was expected to purchase everything that my child needs for the school year. There was a list that the school sent me. Or just give the school 200 bucks to order everything for them.

Schools in the poorer neighborhoods don't do that.

And yet, this clown of a dope, still says that it's not fair that the kids in the ghetto don't go to schools as nice as my kids school.

Next, he'll be saying that my car is too nice, or my house is too nice.....

NYC, the center of world trade and commerce. The financial capital of the world. Is about socialism?

That, is why I'm getting outta here.....

He was begging for food but he needs to get antibiotics at meal time.

If I beg for food, will you feed me? :content:

What's wrong with the kitty, and why are you doing wet food? It's not really needed.

The schools around here have that issue so the clowns here went and messed up the schools even worse. So it doesn't matter what school you send your kid too the whole city is crappy schools.

One reason I home schooled the older 4 the schools sucked!

They had multiple schools for grades 1-5 but only one school for all the 6th graders all the kids in town went to this one school. Then they had 7-8 at another school (now they added 6th to it and got rid of the other school). Then they had 9-10 highschool and 11-12 highschool. You had no choice to pick other schools magnet or charter schools here are just as crappy education wise.

So hubby had his birthday supper last night 20oz king cut prime rib. (It's a once a year thing) He is still feeling it this morning :P

Education starts at home. Not at the school. The clowns need to understand that the students and their parents make the school perform.

Not the other way around.

Because I've been reading a bunch on cat food and a lot of vets are saying cats shouldn't get dry because of the high carbs in dry food. Plus cats have a low thirst drive and wet food gives them more water intake. It's like 1 can a day and 18 cans is $8.50 with my discount. If I could get hubs to agree on a better dry food, I'd only give wet as a treat (like today after antibiotics.)

He has an upper respiratory infection, likely from the shelter, as he's sneezing a lot. The vet didn't like his swollen lymph nodes and the stuff coming out of his nose and eyes. He's still eating and playing and his lungs sounded pretty good so antibiotics is a little preventative, which in people I'm pretty much against doing. But I understand that in cats, when they get to the point where it's bacterial, they can't smell and won't eat and go down hill from there.

If this cat was a barn cat, he'd be the best mouser! He's super quick.
