AoS After K1 Beneficiary Enters US

Hi all,

On the K1 Visa FAQ here, it says that we must file the AoS application within the 90 days in order to guarantee legal status of my fiancee. However, I can't find an official USCIS or government webpage confirming this. Everyone I ask personally says that's not true and as long as we get married within the 90 days, we are fine to file the petition afterwards.

My main reason for concern is that planning the wedding/getting the wedding certificate might extend beyond the 90 days. I'd rather rush things to make sure nothing goes wrong, but others are saying there should be no rush.

No there is not a 90 day requirement for filing AOS, just for getting married.
