First Step -- Filing the Petition

To begin the K-1 process, you file a petition at the Immigration and Naturalization Service (USCIS) office having jurisdiction over your current or intended residence in the U.S.

There is a filing fee of $165 for the petition.

Correction-

The fee for filing this form is $170.00.

Pay by check or money order in the exact amount. Make

the check or money order payable to the Department of

Homeland Security.

Thanks for posting the link... but be careful about the amount they have listed... The amount should read $170 and looks like it might rise .... see the pinned proposed changes from Captain Ewok at top.

06/06/2007 Return packet 3 via DHL

06/13/2007 BKK Sends packet 4 and assigns Interview date

07/19/2007 INTERVIEW

07/20/2007 VISA (hopefully)

the link does not fit to manila embassy. here are some points :

  • visa issuance takes 1 t0 3 days or more depending on the mailing address or the location of the benificiary (week/s in provincial areas)
  • packet 3 is no longer issued to the benificiary

Why not just follow the guide here on VJ, it was very specific and worked perfectly for us. Some of the additional information is right out of the USCIS web sites.
