Did you have any answers from the representatives?

knowledge, I wrote letters on behalf of my husband to both of Senators of NY, our representative and Governor. One of them called to my husband and said that he can do nothing, we should to wait. Yesterday my husband told me that we have to wait till August. It was Senators words. We are going to apply for K3. I'm so tired.

sometimes i wonder what they think it feels to not be able to be with husband/wife. have they ever been apart, not knowing when they will see each other again? it is ridiculous. definitely time for a change in immigration political issues. i have been thinking for a long time about going into politics once im in america... maybe i really should do this.

what really s*cks is that we got a puppy last summer and since i had to leave to go back home, i havent seen my dog. it makes me so sad to know that i missed so many cute things.

Thanks Girls...NY Girl, i'm curious, did they say where they are at the petition? because i know by now they can not do much....at least being informative of where is our petition. Not having touches, makes me think they lost it or something, it's quite the basic question i have in mind for so long...We keep the anticipated rfe info for us, instead for them to send us one that something can be activated if they are soo much in their checks..this is a paradox to me.....it's like, and of the whole experience i have, they don't care of what the reality is...the real situation of real's people's life is...so, i have to do it by myself is my and our life after all...

We also thought of the K-3...but we don't know nothing how long it will also take...because we are in late with it...it will take another 6 months, and what if we'll get the cr-1 then? I thought they wanted to have less work by not letting people do double route cr-1 and k-3...but for some lately forcing them for the k-3 route...This is reallys serious to me...i don't play games it's either the one or the other route...why do they have to force us in one or other direction...i don't get it...

I tested out MD's new Senator...Ben Cardin. At least he tried! Here's his response to me:

Thank you for your letter regarding the delay in processing of applications filed on behalf of your husband. I was sorry to learn about this matter and appreciate your concerns.

The Vermont Service Center reports that the lengthy backlog in the processing of certain petitions has been caused by numerous situations. Initially, the Service Center had to address Congressional mandates to timely process those applications filed for those seeking or continuing Temporary Protective Status (granted by the Congress to those foreign nationals who cannot return to their country of citizenry due to natural disaster or war, etc.), and then routine retirement of experienced adjudication officers and training of new officers has impacted the Center. I am enclosing the processing times for various applications processed in the Vermont Service Center. You may access the same information on the web site for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services at www.uscis.gov.

Additionally, I have made an inquiry to the USCIS, Headquarters, Washington, D.C. to express my great concern of the significant backlog of immediate relative petitions filed by U.S. citizens on behalf of their family members. I will forward the response to you when Headquarters responds.

Sincerely,

Benjamin L. Cardin

So there you have it...maybe he'll get something back from DC...I'll keep you all posted.

Don't let the sunshine spoil your rain...just stand up and COMPLAIN!

Well I hope we've all learned the valuable lesson that you don't get anywhere calling VSC (if I weren't so nice I'd say I told you so LOL). PLEASE friends, as I had suggested a while ago, once you hit the 180 days mark go to your Senator. Don't call VSC, it's a waste of your time. Niagara, don't worry about what they told you-just contact the Senator and let them deal with it. To the rest of us-our day is coming in NO TIME! Get those privacy release forms filled out LOL!

What do you think if it 180 working[/b] days?

Hey Guys.. :)

I jst want to ask about the 180 days that if not received the NOA2 we will call Cogressman? What is all about this? My Hubby s from MD also and until now we still not received NOA2 we almost in 8 mos. after receiving NOA1 so frustrating that until now Nothing Happens.. Since we are planning to call the congressman too.. But jst want to know wat is our basis for the 180 days?

Your input on this will highly be appreciated. :help:

Thank you
