ASAMU....

Not sure if you were asking me for an update or the OP. Either way, my hubby is going in for the tourist visa on Monday, Feb. 26 as long as everything goes according to plan. I will be in Belize for my sister-n-laws wedding and so I will go to the embassy with him. This probably doesn't make much difference when it comes to a tourist visa, does it? So...any advice before we go in. He's applied for a tourist visa once before in the first year of our relationship (june 04) and was denied.

Good luck to us and everyone else on VJ

Melinda and I tried this before her K-3 visa was approved. She was denied and it was very very stressful for us and very expensive and in hind sight not worth it. Just be a little more patient and soo all this will be over and you will be together. In most cases the tourist visa is not approved when there is a pending K-3 visa, even though it is perfectly leagal to apply for one.

Thanks for the encouragement! :)

Evidently Belize has changed its procedures on the tourist visas so we are turning in all applications on Monday, the 26th but I don't know if he will actually get an interview that day since they are now requiring to interview all tourist visa applicants. A CO told me that they are currently doing same day interviews but we'll see! So I will be back in the states on the night of the 28th and I will let you know. I'm so nervous and praying that something shines down on us that day :star:

Thanks again!!!!
