Well, that is good to hear, thank you for the positive feedback, at this point, desperate times calls for desperate measures. I have exhausted all available options, I have contacted everyone and anyone about getting my case moving forward again. I hope in the next few weeks it will finally arrive at the NVC, and from there hopefully it is sent out right away. Right now, things are getting rough psychologically and emotionally for me & my fiancé. This has been very trying for my fiancé, who expected to be here by now. I am just so upset that whoever f'ed up this entire process never took into consideration that people's lives and feelings can be so negatively affected by their lack of professionalism and compassion. All we can do is keep praying and keep thinking positive.

Update, finally something new!!! Just got a call from my Senator's office. They have been in contact with the NVC, and the NVC informed them that on February 4, the USCIS sent our petition to the NVC. So, baring any winter storms in the Northeast, hopefully the NVC will receive our petition next week!!! The lady from the Senator's office said there was an administrative error with our case, and she has never seen a delay like this with regards to a fiancé visa in all her time dealing with visa cases. Such a weight off our shoulders, now hopefully the NVC doesn't hold onto it too long and sends it to the embassy.

Great. Nice to know at least one Senator out there has a good employee! Yeah, my case was sent to NVC on January 5th and got there on the 13th. I think you'll be able to get your case number sometime next week.

Once your case gets to NVC don't fear if they say it's undergoing AP. They told me that, and I started to worry. Then I found out that all files go through some AP, if only briefly. My file was there a little over a week but they were only open a few days during that period d/t inclement weather. They were probably only partially staffed the days that they were open. Now they have a big backlog of files to process so expect a few days extra before it's sent to your embassy.

Also, it's much easier to track progress once it leaves NVC by using the dhl tracker. CEAC is very slow to update. And I finally received replies to all the emails to NVC in early December. 2 months for an email reply. What era is NVC operating in anyway ?????

If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Received this, does this mean it goes back to square 1? - or is this a good sign? - It was already approved Oct. 22nd but never arrived at the NVC.

Well, just when you think things are moving in the right direction, in a positive direction. Was informed last week by Senator's office, that our case has been sent by the USCIS on February 4, 2015 to the National Visa Center. Great news right, so today I finally get through to the National Visa Center, and of course I get the usual response, we did not receive your case. So, then I am told by the person helping me that it will take 35 days from the date it was sent to arrive at the NVC ? 35 days!!!!!!!!!! To send something from California to New Hampshire ??????? Is somebody walking it over there ? Even if you send it the cheapest way possible, it doesn't take that long. What the hell is up with this garbage!!!! I have to vent, because this is beyond ridiculous, and then what, I have to wait another 30 days for it to be processed by the NVC, and then wait another couple weeks until they send it to the embassy!!! I swear, by the time this is all complete, it will be one year to get our fiancé visa, we might as well have gotten married and filed a spousal visa if we knew it was going to take this long! The NVC told my Senator's office that once they receive it, it will take about 30 days to process, they never mentioned that it will take 35 days just to receive it. And is this 35 business days as well? I was in Macedonia this past fall, and sent my Request for additional evidence, from Skopje, Macedonia to Dearborn Heights, MI, and it went from Dearborn Heights, MI to the USCIS CSC in about two weeks time. How the hell is something that is being sent from California to New Hampshire going to take 35 days ?????????????????????? I am beyond consolable right now. I can't tell my fiancé this, she will lose it, we both thought that it would arrive this week. Unbelievable!!!!!!!

Don't worry, they tell everyone 35 days. It is their standard answer. If USCIS really did send it February 4th, I'm confident it will be there pretty soon. The only potential delays right now are all the snow storms New England has been hit with recently. And once it gets to NVC, it will be out of there in 1-2 weeks.

I believe that's a good sign. Those who received a new NOA2 soon had their cases arrive at the NVC.

Please call iscis and see what that letter means?

Are they going to review it agian to approve?

Are they going to extend the validity of the petition?

Are they going to resend it?

I agree with this completely. The philosophy at all levels of this process as the agency's see it, appears to be of the CYA AT ALL COSTS nature. There goal is not to give you precise or even accurate information. It is only to avoid giving you misinformation. Of course some of the inept can't even do that right.

K1s are still treated as a minority. The 35 days is more likely for other visa types they process there.

Some K1s seem to be in to NVC and off to the embassy in a day or 2 while others are delayed for..."top secret".. reasons. Nobody will give you the truth. It sucks!!!

Given the recent weather at NVC I wouldn't start worrying unless CEAC shows 'at nvc' for over 2 weeks, even if they give you the dreaded "IN AP" standard reply.

Quick question, so when the petition arrives at the NVC, do you receive any notification, email or notice in the mail ? Also, do they give you instructions ? And do they send you any notification when they send it to the embassy ?

Nope, no notification. Maybe in the mail, but I haven't received anything (and it's been nearly a month since NVC got my case). And no, they don't send you a notification when they send it to the embassy. That's why we all call the NVC: to find out if our case has arrived and to get our new case number so we can track it online. I think all embassies will contact you either via regular mail or e-mail once they've received the case (but i'm not positive about that one).
