Hi, Ive been reading through this topic. I thought once you recieved NOA2, they send it to NVC, and then NVC send out something, am I right? I was worried now since I saw all october NOA2, didnt recieved anything from NVC yet. We recieved our NOA2, on Jan 8, so we were prepared to wait long time now. The thing is that I have today got a email from my embassy with all information and they have my petition now. I thought all petitions were send through NVC? I dont undertstand.

All petitions go through NVC, but NVC doesn't necessarily let you know. It sounds like your case quickly reached NVC, then went to Sweden. You're good to go.

Hah!!

NVC reopens at 3:30p today.

Oh, and they're so sorry for any inconvenience. ..blah, blah, blah.

Sick of hearing that.

Just get to work on our files and give us a case number. Happy snow days...you sobs.

Whatever happened to "work from home"? The phone lines weren't down. But I guess that would have spoiled the snowball fights... I have no sympathy for NVC anymore.

I'm sorry guys but I'm losing my mind for sure

we got NOA2 on December 2nd and USCIS shipped our case on December 5th to NVC

Today is January 28th and NVC hasn't received our case yet.

my fiancee has kept calling USCIS and NVC since December 20th twice a day and she always ended up with USCIS sent the file, NVC hasn't received the file.

she tried to see one of the officer of USCIS in Newark but they refused to meet her and they gave her an appointment on February 3rd, and last time she talked with tire 2 officer of USCIS he told her we ought to wait 90 days to put an inquiry.

it's a game now and the two players (USCIS and NVC) aren't in hurry to finish it.

I'm going crazy for sure to see all people of the same batch who got approved with us approaching their reunion with their lovers while we have to wait for weeks or months, God only knows.

it's the first case of Texas office which takes more than one month

Congratulations all

we are doomed.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you could get help at the appointment on Feb 3.

Our noa 2 was over a month ago, and we havent got NVC# yet so far. We called NVC last week, a lady said they got case on 1/14.....hope it's true.

And NVC did not work so many days this week(they r off this Mon, Tues, and before 3pm on Wed), I guess there wont have many cases done this week.

My faith has renewed. NVC finally has my petition from last July. Originally approved in September and reapproved in January since it expired. Don't give up the ship.

Looks like NVC is much more efficient than the CSC. Hopefully i won't get any lame excuses or lies about it being sent to the wrong place by "mistake". Time will tell. Overall, it took just as long as those at TSC. They just play the game differently at CSC.

So don't worry until it's been more than 6 months from NOA1 until it arrives at NVC. Yeah, it sucks not to know that in advance. Otherwise , I probably would have gone with a marriage visa instead.

Now, if the NVC could just improve their phone system. Callbacks maybe????

It sounds like CSC has finally got its act together, so I think you should be ok in a week or two. Good luck!

Quick question, so the NVC has instructed my Senator's office to have me send them a scanned copy of my I-797 Notice of Action, Approval Notice to them. I have done that, also I have received two email responses from the NVC instructing me to do the very same thing, so I did. Of course, they still don't have any record of receiving my petition yet from the USCIS. Just wondering, once they receive my scanned copy of I-797 form, what happens next ? How long until they receive my case from the USCIS ?

I am glad to see that things are starting to move forward with most of your cases, that is great, hopefully I won't have to wait that much longer to get some movement behind our case again.

NVC won't get back to you for about a month after you send them your NOA2. As for your Senator's office, people have had a wide variety of experiences. It really depends how good a staff your senator has, and how proactive they are.

Could you also fill out your timeline? Makes it easier for the rest of us to quickly see when you got your NOA2.

Hello everyone - called NVC today and lo and behold our file has arrived!!!! :dancing:

Our NOA-2 date was October 21 so it's been a slow painful wait but we received our case number, our invoice number and the beneficiary number and the file is supposedly going to be sent to Montreal soon!

Thank you everyone for all the help on this thread! It has been a godsend to find you guys. Can't thank Angela enough for starting this thread. On to figure out what the next steps are (feel free to send advice)

Hoping the rumors of a long wait to get an interview in Montreal are unfounded, but preparing for whatever comes our way. Wishing only the best to all of you still waiting and hoping the CSC and USCIS gets this mess resolved soon!

Hello everyone - called NVC today and lo and behold our file has arrived!!!! :dancing:

Glad to hear it PEGG, that's good news!

I called NVC this last week and they confirmed my case has FINALLY arrived!

Our first NOA2 was issued Sep 23 2014 - This expired

Second NOA2 was re-issued Jan 5 2015 - The second was expedited

NOA2 arrived at NVC Jan 26 2015

Now just waiting to hear from NVC. Hoping the interview scheduling doesn't take as long as others I've seen. At this point though, we are planning for the worst case scenario.

Here's a link to my previous post with more details on this waiting process:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/526480-noa2-to-nvc-have-you-been-waiting-more-than-a-month/?p=7433754

(Also, I tried updating my timeline but VJ site keeps complaining about the dates I'm entering. I've made sure the format is correct, tried multiple web browsers, my tablet and my phone - no luck. I'll try again later.)

For many of you who are still waiting - keep your head up! It's OK to get pissed, your application will make it to NVC!

UPDATE:

NOTE: I heard nothing from the NVC. Crickets.

I called USCIS last week and they stated that our application was sent to NVC on 1/5. I guess that sounds legit, because the gal told me she came home this evening to a letter from the US Embassy in Bangkok with a Case number with instructions to download some forms and for her to hang tight and wait for next steps. There should have been a large batch of these flying out the CSC on 1/5 so hopefully we will all be hearing more Case numbers soon!

I have no idea when NVC received it and bounced it along. I just saw on the paperwork she sent me images of that the US Embassy in Bangkok received it on the 26th. I went ahead and used this link (in case you don't have it handy: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx)to get some details and it says that our case was created on the 14th.

Take a deep breath and hang in there, folks!

Hilarious. We checked the mail today. We got a letter from our Congress woman, saying that they knew my interview was successful and TAKING CREDIT FOR MOVING OUR CASE FORWARD.

The freaking gall. We emailed her office more than a month ago to tell her staff we received our NVC number and no longer required her assistance. We heard nothing back and now this.

Guess who I won't ever vote for? (Aside from the fact her views on certain social issues are diametrically opposed to mine.)

Anyone else here get the good word that they were at the NVC level only to later find that their "expedited" case (due to the alleged NVC-NRC f, up of 4 months duration) was now in AP at NVC?

Is that a generic response they tell everyone?

All hopes shattered again....
