Three months later my case is at NVC. I may have shed some happy tears. No case number yet. This new NVC phone system is so slow.

Congrats! Glad this chapter is finally done for you.

Congratulations to everyone who has received great news regarding their cases. The rest of us will remain strong and patient and soon we will all join in on the fun of posting about our cases finally reaching the NVC, getting new case numbers, and one day, update everyone when the process is all said and done, and we are reunited once again with our respective fiances. Keep strong your Faith, Hope, and Love.

Just in case you're bored, you can type in tracking numbers similar to yours and see what their status is. The number before mine is in transit right now while the one after me is also at NVC. I suppose if your fiancee is in a country that has almost no visa applications, it probably won't be that useful. For Jakarta, I only found those two cases (the one before me and the one after me).

Well, finally, some news from the USCIS. They finally responded to my inquiry I sent to the CSC. An Officer McClellan responded with the following: "Currently, your file is being requested and will be relocated to the National Visa Center."

So, if it wasn't for the constant calling & emails, my case file would just be sitting at the USCIS CSC for who knows how much longer. So, they told me something that they were supposed to do after they approved my petition, but didn't. Now I know it is at the USCIS CSC, and hopefully they send it soon, especially since that for the second time they have told me they are sending my approved petition to the NVC. Keep praying on it, and we will see what happens.

Just to tell you my experience. Officer McClellan, who is the only person at CSC that apparently responds to emails, told me that on November 26th. My file didn't get to NVC until last week. He's basically telling you your file was sent to the NRC and CSC needs to get it back to send it onto the NVC.

In other words, be prepared to wait at least another month until your file gets to NVC.

Of course I'm just basing that on my own experience. If your file was requested awhile ago, it might be sooner. If it was requested this week, it could be longer.

Wow, thanks for the response and info. Just not what I was hoping to hear......So, it is a possibility that my case file is at the NRC, and it will take about a month to get it from there back to the USCIS CSC and then to the NVC ? Wow, all these twists and turns they have put us through, and it is really disheartening to read other petitions being approved and people getting their visas in five months time, here, we are 6 months in and we can't even get it from the USCIS CSC to the NVC, unreal!!!!!!
