On another thread, Bandi77 reports that she got a NEW NOA2 yesterday in the mail that extends the expiration date until April 7th. So people, prepare to get a new NOA2 (instead of getting your file to NVC).

Think we've also been given a new NOA2 - new issue date 9th Jan (first NOA2 was 15th Oct). Yet to arrive so lets see...

On delays. Been told our case is sitting in CIS 'staging area' waiting to be shipped 'soon' to NVC.

The internal CIS work order to find our file, resolve the problem and and send to NVC was only issued 30 Dec. So as another member said, hopefully those of you who were told earlier in Dec that your cases were now moving to NVC may find them arriving soon? Do hope so.

Telephone lines to USCIS are choked - one person told us the 'transfer lines to Tier 2 officers were down' and so couldn't put us through. But, fiancé hung-up on her, called back and then did manage to talk to an officer. So yes... hmmmm... persistence... sigh....

what I clearly don't understand is why do they approve our petitions so fast but it takes forever just to send the damn paper to nvc something is utterly wrong with that picture...

Good luck bro my case was approved on Oct 3.2014, and NVC does not have it yet, nobody give me any answer about it, im kind of frustrated

im in the same boat as you except mine was approved oct 23 frustrating

ok i just got an email from ifficer mclellan, its a reply to me sending him an email akin to "wheres our paperwork"

it says approved 9th January 2015, please read approal letter for processing of the travel visa

i check the receipt number on the uscis.giv site and its noa" approval date has changed from the 3rd of Nov to the 9th January, im assuing someone has done goofed. theyre got a huge backlog so theyre automatically re approving noa 2s then sending them to the nvc, only thing we have to wait and see about now on the "new" i-1797 is if it gives us a further 35 days to reach nvc or they ask for longer

got a second email from him a few minutes after saying its being sent today and to allow 35 days for arrival at nvc

Well my NOA2 clearly has not been extended since my status on the USCIS website hasn't changed nor have I received any type of letter saying that. Of course I have no idea if that is a sign that my case did indeed get sent to the NVC or if I'm going to be even more delayed than you all. And no offense, but if the latter is the case, I'm going to be pretty freaking mad since my original NOA2 pre-dates pretty much all of you.

when was ur notice date?

September 10th. My NOA2 expired last Friday (January 9th).

I just put in a service request with a Tier 1 person. Haven't done that before... It is clear USCIS is being overwhelmed by phone calls and has a serious processing issue. The wait for Tier 2 has become crazy long, and I have a hunch that's why the Tier 1 person just entered a service request for me instead of passing me on today.

I just talked with an officer uscis class 2, he just said that he will send an email to see what happen with our case and I will receive a response on Jan 24, dont know if that true or false.

Well I think I can speak for everyone here: we all have received responses from our service requests. USCIS is dependable in that regard. Of course will it be give you any useful info? Probably not.

Well the good news: I just found out NVC received my case today!! Thank god!

Of course I don't know if NVC will send it back to CSC since my approval has now expired. The person on the phone did not know the answer to that unfortunately.

So those of you who were told your file was sent to NVC in mid-December, call NVC, your case might have arrived today!

So due to the news I received, I called USCIS to cancel my service request. I was told I couldn't do so. HA HA HA! That just epitomizes what a mess this system is. No wonder they're so dang inefficient.
