Professor Makes Students Recite 'Anti-American' Pledge of Allegiance

Some college students are blasting their professor for forcing his politics on them by making them recite what they are calling an "anti-American" version of the Pledge of Allegiance.

On "On The Record" tonight, Caleb Bonham, editor of Campus Reform, explained that this occurred at Metropolitan State University in Denver, where Professor Charles Angeletti had his students recite an amended pledge during his American Civilization class.

FoxNews.com has the full text of the "pledge":

"I pledge allegiance to and wrap myself in the flag of the United States Against Anything Un-American. And to the Republicans for which it stands, two nations, under Jesus, rich against poor, with curtailed liberty and justice for all except blacks, homosexuals, women who want abortions, Communists, welfare queens, treehuggers, feminazis, illegal immigrants, children of illegal immigrants, and you, if you don't watch your step."

"It's a completely different Pledge of Allegiance," Bonham said. "And they're having to pledge allegiance to a racist, homophobic, sexist America that is in the name of Jesus, that hates Communists and women who want to get abortions."

Bonham said that Angeletti's strong political statement is contrary to the university's values.

Bonham added that Angeletti said that it was meant to be a silly icebreaker for the class, but it was also meant to teach an alternative perspective of patriotism in America.

"This is what we're seeing all across the country," Bonham said. "And we're concerned about what students are being taught."

Watch the clip above.

I don't know. You can research it if you would like.

He looks white, so let me consult my bigoted racist guide for white Americans; one moment please:

Yes indeed, he's a bigoted white American who is provided the right to free speech under the US Constitution. There is a footnote that states: Some whacko liberal partents in Colorado think he's really 'neat' and will provide their children a solid foundation for creating unrest in America.

i'm going to go out on a limb here but i doubt anyone was 'forced' to recite this, seriously.

bunch of college cry babies. lol

I am sure he didn't hold this piece of paper in the air, make them stand, cross their chest and recite this in the morning. I don't see it happening. but this is an allegation. all allegations deserve to be heard.

where did you see his picture? it isn't in the article is it?

Not gonna lie, I would sign up for this class. And I didn't see or hear where this professor forced his students to recite this amended pledge.

me too. I think it is interesting to see someone else's view of America. we already know the standard American history and ideology.

Yeah. That's one of the cooler parts of the whole deal. It's also reported they are free to drink the koolaid if they like. It's just so awesome to see so much really keen freedom in America. It really shows how far we've come from those hum drum days of having to repeat things that other people say are good to repeat and learn. What's that smell? I can't breathe!

The guy who presented the story said the prof wanted to bring about an alternative view on American history. White people who are proud of America's past treatment of minorities (not just race) wouldn't want the "other side's" story to be told.

I think having a race is awesome. Don't you? I mean, how boring it would be if there was only one race on earth. Right now we got your whites, your browns, your yellows, your carmel colored and many derivatives thereof. It's just so cool that we are all different with no one race deserving of special privilege. Don't you agree?
