Hello everyone!

After waiting for what seems like for ever since our interview for a k1 on November 19, our status finally changed to issued. I feel like I have seen some people who had long waits for the Embassy to get their passport to the courier. Does anyone have any information regrading how long it takes from "issued" until they get it to the courier and then how long it takes the courier to get it to your house?

I am just trying to get a realistic expectation of when my fiance will be able to get to the states. Obviously hoping for my family's Christmas on the 20th.

I am actually surprised it took so long for it to change to issued......most people I have talked to have their passport/visa in hand after 6-8 business days....you can try calling the depot? Or are you having it delivered to home? I heard that takes longer and sending to depot is usually the fastest route.

It's been 6 days since yours was "issued"

How long did it take from issued to get your notification from courier and visa arrival/in hand?

If it helps, ours said issued on 12/11, courier email received today 12/15 and delivery expected 12/16

I think you guys are in the same boat as me; my visa was issued 12/12 and the courier delivery date for pickup at the depot is tomorrow. Only thing is, I'm away for work in London tomorrow all day! Will have to pick it up on Thursday in time for prospective flight to DC on Friday.

Ours was to deliver tomorrow as well. However, it's been scheduled to redeliver on Thursday.

Looks like my fiance will be making his flight on 12/22! HOORAY! :)

I noticed your timeline says your consulate is Armenia. If you want to change it to London--

Go to your timeline.

Click edit/add to timeline.

Scroll down about a dozen boxes until you see "US Embassy"

Pick London in the "L" section not "U" for UK.

If you don't scroll down, Armenia is the bottom of the list that opens so you got that by not scrolling maybe.
