My husband applied for his green card back in July 2006. Everyone who applies goes through FBI name check. Some checks are short...some are LOOOOOOOOOOOONG. Right now my husband has been in name check for 8 months. I know some who are still in name check almost two years...some longer. I don't know if it's the same as AP or not, but it sure sounds like it.

ohh dear i wish you both speedy finish of whatever procedure they are doing with his name check

It's not a tax increase! But you can look at it that way if you're in the "firing-zone" of this fee increase. What we are missing here is somehow we have to pay for the illegal immigrants who cross the border illegally and broke our laws, now demand amnesty! We have to pay for those illegal criminals, while our loveones sit in line waiting for the long name check, petition and visa approval processes BECAUSE we chose to do it legally! Seem like these days, the illegal criminals have a lot more rights than the legal immigrants, ask BOFA, they'll issue Visa Card to illegals.

Don't expect the big boost in performance after the fee increase taken effect! Just same old people who work there for life, doing the same old job, with more pays! You gotta love it!

Totally understand and agree. They need more accountability
