I am checking the website case status like every hour but it just says "fingerprint fee was received on dec19"

Mine is the same. I check the case status and it just says "fingerprint fee was accepted on Dec 17th".

I haven't called them before, so I'm assuming its just the number listed on the I-797C for the National Customer Service Center? Is that just going to be an automated system or is there a way to actually speak with someone?

I'm in the same boat as well, I received my noa 1 text on the 5th and the letters like a few days latter but no biometrcs notice yet, when i check the uscis site it just says the same as some of you have mentioned fingerprint fee was received on the 31st December.

I called yesterday as my wife and I were getting worried but they were closed and automated response was word for word with online status report, so I am planning on calling today within working hours.

So I just called NBC, and they said that since the fingerprint fee was accepted on December 17th, and it hasn't been over 30 days, that he wouldn't be able to help me. I have to call back on Monday, and file a Service Request or Case Inquiry to determine what happened with the Biometrics appointment. They'll only do the service request once you're over the 30 days. So I'm sure it'll probably take another month just to get a response to the service request, and in all this time, we will have missed the officially scheduled biometrics appointment.

I thought I would start this thread. We filed first week of December 2014

We filed on Dec 9, 2014.

Did biometrics on Jan 12, 2015.

My guess is that yes, it does delay EAD. We filed all of those together as well, so we're a bit frustrated now.

Congrats guys, Sunnyinca which office is ur local office? Mine is in Long Island.

Our local office is Manhattan. I think, is there a way to find out?

in regards to it delaying the EAD another issue is that in New york you cant get a DL if you came in on VWP from what I have read until you get the EAD, while some other states allow you to apply once you have your I-797

My case status changed to ready to schedule an interview. .. tht was fast .. anyone status Changed to this?

Mine also changed "as of January 14, 2015......"

No indication when we will get an interview letter though. Good luck to all!

Thanks everyone for the answers on my RFE! I hope your biometrics' appointments come soon enough if you haven't done it yet!

Just an update on my case, the RFE letter gave me 2 options: get a joint sponsor or show some assets to complement my husband's income.

We are then showing my assets - cash in my bank account from the sale of a condo. The sale is just about final, real estate agent is keeping me posted.

I also need to translate the last 12 months of bank statements from my bank account, working on that. I'll make sure to attach the buyer-seller contract and a translation, to prove where the money came from.

We too filed on Dec 5th and did the Fingerprint appointment a month later. However, on the USCIS Case Status website it says File Number is invalid.

When I can the USCIS Center they tell me there is a 'glitch in the system'...maybe like the Obamacare site....this after two months of filing....

Now, i'm starting to worry, I just saw in another forum that someone that sent there package days after mine had been received has already done their biometrics, has anyone else awaiting there fingerprint letter seen received anything I also called and was told nothing can be done until 30 days.

I just put in a service request yesterday to find out about the missing Biometrics appointment letter, now that it's been over 30 days. They said that I can expect a response by February 11th. Hopefully we'll hear something sooner, though.
