On another note,

I just entered the US through Buffalo last night. It was pretty smooth, first time using the green card. The questions were:

What is your citizenship? To me and hubby.

Where did you go?

How long did you stay?

Do you have any tobacco or alcohol? Any food?

Where did you stay?

What's your home city/state? (Went around looked at car plates)

How did you get your permanent residency?

That's all, pretty smooth!

Hi Seth, sorry! I've been driving from Canada since last night and haven't really checked here over the last few days.

I would put US, because you are living in the US one way or another. France is your citizenship country but you don't live there! When they ask our residency on the adjustment of status we put US, so this should be the same! I hope you could see this on time!

Hi,

thanks a lot! everything went fine, I was just a little stressed put for no reason, I could have put any country nothing would have happen on my way out from the US, the un will start when I use the AP to enter again when I come back for my interview :)

Hi guys! So this is my current status: As of March 18, 2015, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC.........., for an interview.

I field the case in the beginning of December 2014 (adjusting from F1), I've gotten an RFE in January, responded to it in early March and has been waiting for interview to be scheduled since March 18. Do you guys know how much more should they take? Based on what I've read here it seems that Seattle office takes 5-6 months to schedule the interview so I'd say I should expect an interview by September?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Luka

Hi Luke,

From what I learned reading about immigration all these years, you can never count on anything. You can always hope, though.

I went for an Infopass appointment after my RFE had been pending for over 60 days. The IO said she couldn't do anything and thatmy name was not yet on queue for interview. A few days later I received the notice for the interview, so it might have helper behind the scenes. That is all you can do. Good luck!

Hi bibi,

Interestingly enough, I spoke with a friend from Texas yesterday and he said his interview was the same thing! They said that they were going to send and answer within 30 days because they just had to make sure some things were right. Although they told him everything looked 'good'. This friend also told me that another friend is in the same situation and received an approval within 30 days.

Did they give any hints, did they say anything else? If you have nothing to worry about then just expect the approval!!! If you had all evidences and everything was answered accordingly then you have nothing to worry about. Good luck!!!

Over the past several months, I have read from several members about 'calling' USCIS to inquire about status when interview had never yet been scheduled after several months etc.

Note: We cannot go for "Info Pass" because that is an all day round trip journey.

I realize that mostly via phone they tell you that nothing can be done, yet several have reported that they 'mysteriously' did get scheduled for interview after a phone call to USCIS. Is there one phone number for entire USA, or are there various phone numbers for different areas of USA?

My question is: What specific phone number have people called to get some update, even when it seems like a waste of time?

Thanks, Leo

I agree. They probably do something, send a message or e-mail to the IO or the appropriate office. 1-800-375-5283.

Oh, he's deployed? Ok, girl. I got some news for you! You can get your citizenship with no wait because your hubby is deployed! I searched bc my hubby is also in the military but he is here. So, if you search, you will see that you don't need to wait the 3 years to apply for citizenship. If it's something you're interested in doing fast, it's an option. I know I would bc I want to apply for my mom's permanent residency!
