Good luck to both of you!! Let us know how it goes :)

As for final tips, speaking from everything I've read so far, I think it's best to just be yourselves and not worry about it too much. You are in a real, happy relationship and the immigration officer will see that!

Ok here's a summary of what went on.

First of all, it was a 2 minutes interview. Very calm, very easy.

The officer makes you swear to say the truth. She then fills out a form.

After that she asks the beneficiary some questions from the I-130 form like names, address and birth dates. Then she asks questions about any felonies or arrests or terrorism...etc

She then asks if you have extra documents that you would like to submit.

After that she tells you, you've completed your interview, we will mail you our decision soon.

That's what happened with me. We finished in about 2 minutes. Some other applicants took about 15 minutes.

Be urself. Stay calm. No need to worry!

Good luck for everyone!!

I adjusted from a B-2 (tourist) visa. Wish you have a smooth process as well. Good luck for Mrs. Hopkins too.

I know how much stressful this process is, but things will go very well if the adjustment is based on a true relationship.

Wow, mazen1c, congratulations! Good for you. Did they separate you guys? I translated an interview for my friend and they took her husband in first, asked him all questions then me and her went in and they asked everything again to make sure it matched.

Thanks, bibi!

Oh no they did not seperate us. We went in together, but she started asking me then my wife. I noticed some couples who went in before us were called seperately. I don't know exactly why but i can guess it might be the case when they have doubts about the presented information. That's how they can make sure everything is true.

Just be calm and take it easy. You're a spouse of a US citizen, no one can deny you ur right of getting the green card.

Good luck for tomorrow ?

Hi everyone, mazen1c, bibi and all, thank you for the best wishes, we were approved at our interview today!

Let me tell you, living with my husband for a year, in a happy and real relationship, we were given a little bit of a hard time! And he is in the military. They called him first, alone. About 30 min later she called me and he stepped out. Then she called him back and we were both in the room. She said we answered differently in 2 questions and she wanted to clear it up. In the end she asked again the questions and hubby ended uo matching my answers. She then said we were approved.

But my thoughts and final advice are be cool, calm and collected. Do study, do review every detail because you can get caught up forgetting stuff or mixing it up.

About 30 min after we left, received texts and emails of approval and card in production.

How long to receive it based on experiences?

Thanks, znl!

Things like:

What is his bank

About his military career

Who pays rent

Who bought the furniture

Who are these people on the picture

Why didn't you bring your savings from your country

Did you look for a house to buy

Who lives at your house

Did you live here before

Why did you get married so fast

Why did you buy a new car

Does your hubby make payments on his car

How much of rent does each of you pay

Etc.. She asked much more to him. She didn't ask me where we met, how was our wedding, where we worked, but she asked all that to him.

Hi noona,

Oh, immigration... Always surprising us. I have no idea what that means. Let me just make sure:

Do you have the interview notice by mail?

If yes, then don't even bother or worry about what says on your case. You have your notice, gather ALL documents, get ready for the interview and go.
