Hi bibi,

I'm a November filer. I received my EAD a month ago, also got my SSN. As of December, my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. Still no news about the actual interview date. You definitely don't need to worry. Your interview may not be scheduled for months.

Uscis sends official letter in the mail regarding the interview date right?

That's right, Rooshi. On the letter it will tell you what documents to bring and the time of the appointment.

Is it allowed to go to the interview without a spouse?? I thought that was equal with a failure. You don't really have to prepare in my opinion. All they test is the authenticity of the marriage. If it really is, there's nothing to worry about. Just have enough evidence, know what you are supposed to know (your wedding date, spouse's DOB, etc) and tell the truth.

Hi bibi!

Oh really, where is he?? My husband deployed in Afghanistan in 2012. Thank him for his service, please!

Well, don't be afraid. Real marriages have nothing to worry about. You know him, he knows you, that's what matters. She's gonna ask you things about him and I'm sure you'll know what to answer. I've translated an interview for a friend once and they ask the most common things, common household items, furniture, who pays the bills, what's the set up, what kind of stove it is, what color is this and that, what's his hobby, things like that. Make sure you bring a photo album, since he won't be here I think they're gonna wanna see it. Bring everything in the interview notice.

When is your interview?
