mazen1ic, why congressman contacted?

Congressman can submit an inquiry to expedite the EAD and it can be more effective than ur own, meaning better chance to be accepted.

The basis i chose is getting a job offer which falls under severe financial loss.

Update on EAD:

I called USCIS today because it has been 77 days since they received my I-765, they opened up a service inquiry for me and another update showed up on my case:

"As of February 23, 2015, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number T1B***********, is currently not assigned for processing."

Has anyone received this?

Hi,

u'll receive another note by tomorrow saying that your request T1D0xxx is sent to an officer to make a response. Then, on the same day or a day after, u'll receive a new one saying that an officer has made a response about your case T1D0xxx. If the response is to accept your inquiry, u will see in the case status that Case is approved and card is ordered for production.

Wish you all the best

December group, a little help please for February filing group.

You are all familiar with the standard posting on the 'Case Status' section of the USCIS website which says: (and similar wording regarding the I-130, 131, 485)

"On February 3, 2015, we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSCXXXX, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by March 5, 2015, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

My question is: What will be the next wording that shows up here?

My wife got her notice for Biometric appointment today in US Mail, but nothing has changed in the Case Status section.

Will nothing change until 'Ready for Interview' or will something appear before then ?

Thanks for your help. Leo

Nehaaspi, thanks for the info. OK, I understand Biometrics appointment doesn't change anything in the Case Status. But I am still wondering what is the next event that will cause a change in wording in the Case Status.

Maybe nothing has happened yet in this December group. I will check with the November group.

Thank you, mazen1c!

I actually got approved!

So after they changed my status to "no one assigned" they changed it again to "assigned to an officer".

Then later on I was home at around 6:30pm I received the approval by text/e-mail:

"

New Card Is Being Produced

On February 23, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC***********, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address

"

So now the question is - how long did it take from "card in production" to "hey, there is my card in my mailbox", for those of you who went through the experience already?

Leo,

Nothing happened to me after I did biometrics.

It only changed to "we mailed you a RFE" and after I send it back to them "We received your RFE", but that was on the I-485.

Nothing at all changed on my I-765.

It only changed after I called USCIS when I reached the 75th day. If you reach the 75th day and no interview is scheduled or card is put in production, call USCIS and request a service inquiry.

This is what you can do and just wait... Hopefully yours will go smooth and fast with no RFEs because these are the worst!

Leo it all depends on your case, if all is well it should change to "ready to be scheduled for an interview" after the biometrics are done which it can remain at for a few months,

or

if your package is missing something then you may receive a request for evidence update mentioned above

The next status update on your Case Status for the I-765 will say that the card has been ordered to be produced. It should then update a few days later to state that the card has been mailed. I just got these two updates in the last week, and waiting on the mail now.

I actually just went and checked again out of curiosity. Yesterday it said card was mailed. Today it says it was picked up by USPS and they gave me a tracking number. Even better! :)

I just received my EAD card..you guys will b getting it soon aswell ?....

Grats, Rooshi! I'm just waiting on the mail for ours. Hoping to have it by the end of the week.

Looks like I'm going to be getting our EAD card tomorrow, so in total that will be 7 calendar days from seeing that it was approved. So that's very quick. They're mailing it priority 2-day mail with USPS. So hopefully you'll get yours next week.

Next steps would be going to the social security office. As for the DMV, it varies state by state as to what their requirements are for getting a license as an immigrant. I've been researching this myself, and I believe it's fairly easy in Massachusetts, but some states won't accept anything other than the Green Card before they'll give you a license. So you should go to your state's DMV website and look around.

My I-485 status changed the day after my I-765 changed to card in production. So check again tomorrow and maybe it will now say that your case is ready to be scheduled for the interview.

Thanks for your advice, nothing like going to the primary source to get proper information, i checked florida's dmv website and they only ask for ss card, any id, which can be either green card, or passport with i-94 stamp, and two proves of residency like bank statements or bills.

Nehaaspi: i really hope your case get updated soon, dont lose hope im sure they will approve all december fillers in the next weeks.
