Hi, we have filed for a SSN for my wife (waiting 2 weeks after her arrival) but she was not in the database and they advised they would have to manually verify her information. She arrived on a K-1 Visa and we would like to get the AOS process started ASAP as we were married a week ago. Since she has not received a SSN yet can we still go ahead and file for the AOS or will we have to wait till her SSN is issued? Thanks!

You do not need a SSN to file AOS so you are fine to go ahead and file without it. We didn't have one before we filed due to SS office screwups, but as a general rule you don't even need one at all to file for AOS.
