Is this the most up to date info for preparing the packet 3? I got this out of the K1 Guide for Montreal but notice that the topic was very old and hadn't been editted recently.

1. Signed Checklist
2. DS-160 x 1
3. DS-156K x 1
4. DS-230 x 1
5. DS-156 x 2
6. US style passport photos of the beneficiary x 2
7. Many have found it helpful to also include a very brief cover letter summarizing the contents, providing an email address and re-iterating the MTL case #.

We will be required to complete a I-136 Affidavit of Support correct?

Also just found the K1 Checklist on the consulate website. There is 2 things on this check list that I am not 100% about

1. Court Documents - What court documents?

2. Evidence of Petitioners Domicile in the US - Is this just proof of the Applicants residence - Rental Agreement or Mortgage?

Sorry for putting all this in 1 post but its all about the next step for us... and wanted to keep it all together.

I am sure there will be many more questions over the next week.

Thanks

Hello,

I'm not sure if you found your answer elsewhere already, but:

My packet 3 documents (sent November 18th, 2014) requested were as follows and were sent to consulate by email. I received Packet 4 email a couple of days later.

- DS 160 confirmation page

- Completed, signed and dated Packet 3 Checklist (scanned)

- Applicant passport biographic page (Scanned)

Hope this helps.

I believe the court documents are only required if relevant (I'm assuming due to convictions/marriage/divorce/etc).

I think you are on the right track with the domicile piece - from my research it would be looking to see that the petitioner is a permanent US resident/has an address... I've read some conflicting information but it's possible that this isn't explicitly required at the K1 interview. If you are able to have bills/mortgage/rental documents with the petitioners name and address with you on stand by it would seem its always better to be over prepared.

You will have to complete the I-134 Affidavit of Support and provide the required supporting documents (listed in the instructions of the form but mainly: letter from bank officer, letter from employer(s) and W2/tax transcripts). You bring this to the interview with you though, don't submit it before then.
