My fiance was denied the visa in London today because of the affidavit of support. The lady of the consulate did not look at my tax return which I made 40 000$ last year. In the affidavit of support, I put 19.000$ which is my income I have in the bank.

She asked my fiance to bring an other affidavit of support from a relative or friend because my income is not enough.

My question is. is my annual income is below the poverty line?

As far as i know, the poverty level depends on the state you live in. That said, your last three tax returns and a note from your employer should have been enough. I only speak from my experience however and all embassy are different. Hang in there. Find out what they need and try to appease them. You'll be together soon. Why did your income drop so much may i ask? I know in my case i lost my job two months before the interview but was able to find another right before. They based her approval on my income from my w2 and my employer note. They never looked at my check stubbs.

Sorry to hear that. I know it must be devastating :(. It sounds like, without looking and knowing, you put the savings on the line where it asked for income. Where the income ($40,000) was suppose to go on line one, and the $19,00 where it says savings,etc...Unless of course you are now unemployed. I wonder if submitting the I-134 would work? Unless I am missing something totally.

Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

We filed on the same day it looks like. We had a 3 month delay for sputum testing but just got approved last week. May i ask why yours has been delayed?

I made mistake in filling the affidavit of support which caused us the delay.

I filled another I-134 and a friend of me filled for us I-864 for joining sponsor as the consulate required in the letter. I also wrote a letter to the consulate explaining them about the mistake in my initial I-134. I sent this document via DHL hoping my fiance will receive on Tuesday. Thank you my friends in visa journey for your help and support. Our case is on administrative processing when i checked via nvc website.

The embassy finally double clicked on the DNA results and, I assume, approved the visa. My Fiance got a text today to send her passport 2Go to the embassy. I'm hoping they stamp the passports and my love will be with me in 2-3 weeks. Anyone have experience with the Embassy requesting passports after a DNA test or RFE of some sort? Are we approved? No official word, but I assume everything is good or they wouldn't have asked for the passport, right? I'm cautiously ecstatic ;)
