Hello, can someone tell please how can I change the address for my fiance in London? My fiance is waiting the medical clearance which is not sent to the embassy yet, and she already filled the form DS 160 and the readiness. Thank you.

One more Question:

Is it absolutely necessary for the petitioner to sign an updated Letter of intent to marry?

Sorry, this is for the visa interview.

And also, how long, on average, does it take for an approved visa to get to you if you opt for by mail instead of for pick up?

I don't know how it works for the Philippines, but for London, you send an updated one if your NOA2 expires.

Deonne, you should check out the regional forum. It is very helpful and region specific. From my understanding for Philippines, you need an updated Intent to Marry form. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Yeah not sure if it's the same there. But for Malaysia i signed a updated one when i visited last month since her interview is next Tues just in case. I know it wasn't on the checklist from packet 4 but better safe then sorry. I read on the regional forum they make you sign one during the interview if you forgot it anyway. But not sure about the petitioners... You can contact the embassy to be absolutely sure and prevent any delays. cheers!

Ugh. Really should've made another one. :-(

Does it have to be an original one that's signed? Or can he scan the original and just send me an email of it?

I think I also read somewhere that all documents need to be the originally signed document.

Is that right?

I guess it's safe that we booked a flight 2 weeks after the interview. Thank you ^_^

yes it has to be original signed document. I had to UPS my notarized affidavits of support (they do it at the UPS store) too since i forgot to bring the paperwork on my trip along with the newest boarding passes, latest passport stamps, etc evidence. It only takes 3 business days UPS Worldwide Express saver anyway. As i said its better to be over prepared then risk having your visa delayed. cheers!

Out of curiosity, I know you have to call NVC to get case number after a week of it being sent to NVC, but are there other ways to check for case number?

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

There used to be a automated system when you called NVC but it's been down since forever. Your other option would be to wait for the confirmation letter from NVC which has the case number on it. But for sure the fastest way is to keep calling and get it from them directly. Just be prepared to redial a good 20-30x especially during peak hours.
