Update on my situation-

We are still waiting for SSS ID so that my love can even apply for her passport. This is insane. She applied for SSS ID in October and we are told wait 30 days, wait 2 months, wait a few weeks, be patient. Our NOA2 expires in May. I'm praying every day her SSS shows up so we can apply for a passport in Manila (rush, 7 day) and then schedule medical, interview etc. I'm scared our NOA may expire before we finish the process :(

She had absolutely no valid id's? When I applied for my passport, I only had 2 valid id's, my NSO birth certificate and NBI clearance. My id's were my PRC license and company ID.

Applications for passport in manila by appointment takes 10 working working days if you ask for express processing.

I just got mine last feb 25 and it'll be ready on the 11th.

I am sure it is a scary proposition. I can only imagine the anxiety one goes through. You have to be strong for sure. Been debating to mention our approval today. But feel like maybe it is a good time to share the news. Our petition was approved today. We were stuck at TSC and really didn't have a chance at being looked at until June or July. We decided to file for expedite service, the first time in January and as immediately denied. In fact it was a rubber stamp rejection with no request for more information. Then one day I called USCIS, not to request expedite service, but to ask a few questions about the process in general. The person was extremely helpful and courteous and the person asked if I wanted to file another expedite service request so in the moment I said sure. The person went through all of reason and we settled on one (not the same as before) and filled out all the information required. We even included information from the previous expedite service request. Several days went by with no response and then finally I received an email asking for more information to process the request. So the next day I sent all the documents they were asking for from financial documents to current news articles and that day was approved for the expedite service request. Needless today I was ecstatic and overcome with joy. I was hoping for a decision on my application within a couple of days and week later received notification of our petition approval. Some USCIS people were very helpful and others I have talked to were not as helpful, but the last couple of people at USCIS were extremely helpful and courteous. I may not have waited as long as many at TSC, but I for sure know the agony and frustration people go through at TSC. I spent 111 days at TSC, will not even come close to some of those who will endure wait times of 175 to 200 + days at TSC. My heart goes out to all of you at TSC, including prayers, my hope is to be an advocate for those at TSC, hopefully processing times will improve for all.

Received NOA1: December 26, 2014

Still waiting for the NOA2. I wish TCS would hurry up, this wait is a killer. Does anyone know if you sent the affidavit of support in with the original application, if you would have to get all the info together again and send to your fiance?

The affidavit of support is required in the day of the interview that means your fiance must have it prior to the interview, the original. It is not to required to send it with the original application.

Postal ID! EDIT to add: https://www.facebook.com/newpostalid?fref=ts

I'll post in the Philippines thread once I confirm for sure, but, finally, we're 99% sure the new "International Postal ID" will be accepted at the DFA. I've asked multiple employees at DFA and they say they accept the new Postal ID. We're waiting for the Postal ID to be printed for us now.

Also, I called the Manila Embassy and asked about extending our NOA2 expiration date. The lady I spoke with said that the "NOA2 expiration auto-renews for 4 more months", so basically the expiration date doesn't matter? I asked her 3 times in 3 different ways including "So if she shows up 1 month after it says it's expired, she can still have a visa interview and be approved?" "Yes sir..."

So, we've been waiting on IDs since December, but it's good to know now that our visa approval isn't in jeopardy because the Philippines can't figure out how to print an ID (which is the problem with 3 IDs we're currently waiting for...)

Wanted to share a quick update. I should know in a week or two if Postal ID is indeed accepted now at DFA, but it's looking very promising.

I've asked 3 different ways about the SSS ID, and currently the best info I have is that the SSS canceled their contract with the current ID Printing Vendor and they haven't found a replacement yet, so my understanding is that they haven't printed a single ID for almost 4 months now...

Reading the thread I assume TSC notifies you when they send it to NVC. Once at NVC you have to use the ceac website correct?

Yeah. They should tell you when it leaves by mail. Then the NVC hoards the rest of the information. You have to bug them repeatedly to get your information.
