My fiancé submitted his forms, paid the visa fee and readiness 24 hours after our status said ready on the CEAC website. His medical is booked for 26 February. All packet 3 is for the UK is a letter that says to go online and fill out those forms anyway.

I didn't think you could pay this until you had your interview date?

I think you can pay it as soon as you submit your readiness form?

Ohh okay! I thought when you registered you needed to put the interview date in, but I might be wrong :P

So my case is currently still in ready status and my fiancée is getting her police check done today. Unfortunately we need to wait another 2-3 weeks before her appointment for a health check since there are only 2 busy hospitals in all of Tokyo that are set up to do these. In retrospect I wish we would have scheduled the health screening weeks ago, although I was worried that the check needed to be within a certain amount of time prior to the interview (which as far as I can tell now isn't the case). Oh well, everything is still rolling along much more quickly than I could have hoped for.

Still no packet3 or other correspondence from the embassy, but from my understanding it's just a document checklist that's available online anyway. We're going to try and get the interview scheduled later today and hopefully have this whole processed finished by April. Fingers crossed!

Glad to hear things are going well. December has been a great month for filing. I think we a re a blessed group. I would feel guilty celebrating my good fortune if you lot were still stuck in hell. Im glad everyone here can celebrate together more or less. Ive received a lot of awesome help here. I look forward to keeping in touch for the change of status with you guys.

Dispair. I feel so heartbroken. We were just two weeks away from being together again and they are going to make her take a sputum culture. She doesn't have TB. She's been tested for it several times before. But some jerk is seeing things on an xray so now we are apart till may or june. I can't express in words how horrible this process is on my life. I hate our government for doing this to people and families. They should be ashamed.
