I have been addicted to this site since my Fiance and I began this process. It's been the most helpful resource for us, and it has given me peace of mind numerous times in regarding what to do next. I am so thankful (especially since the process overall is not for the faint of heart), that we didn't invest in a lawyer. Talk about a disappointment to see them doing something I am capable of.

Is your timeline based off the electronic notice or the hardcopy? I just don't want to get trigger happy and call them before it's necessary.

Wow, I woke up and checked this thread first thing for any updates and saw the Ezzface has their case number already and we got our NOA2 on the same day. I decided to call NVC for the first time this morning and, thank God, we now have our case number also! I was told our case is in administrative processing and it hasn't shipped to the embassy yet, but it should ship soon.

Thank you for updating Ezzface!!!

To the members above who already have their NVC numbers (congrats!):

How long from NOA2 until you received your numbers?

Whas there a "trick" or better time to call NVC to get it? Better number key prompts? Did you need to get through to a human?

And lastly, Please let us know how long from NVC number to file actually being sent to embassy! Thanks!

Hi there,

Based on various postings it seems like it's best to call 2-3 weeks from receive your electronic NOA2.

As for best time, many have said to 1) have a re-dial app installed onto your phone as you can quite often get a busy signal, 2) to call either early in the morning when they open (so starting about 4 o'clock PST) or later in the evening (maybe 7-8PM?). I think for receiving your initial information (the Case No., Invoice No., and Beneficiary ID No.), you will need to be patched through to a human... be sure to have your receipt number, beneficiary DOB, and their name handy.

Once you have the case number, you should be able to start tracking it on the CEAC website... but according to the flow charts-it's between 1-3 weeks between NVC and Embassy.

I wonder how processing times will be affected by the influx of filers next month (?). I think those that got California before the influx were quite lucky and even those who were sent to Texas were also lucky. I am sure there is about to be a major back log of cases from both centers about to happen. But maybe I am wrong. If they were smart they would expedite all the cases there now through Jan.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
