Just talked to a friend of mine about financial planning stuff and she's going to retire at 55! I thought that was pretty young. My dad retired at 75 and that was pretty old. I'd say 72 for me would be fine, but I think I'd start working part time around age 65.

Seriously, I'm ready to retire right now. I think I could find enough stuff to do in this world to not be bored. I'd travel all over the world, and do normal small stuff to make people smile. I think that reward would be better than a paycheck. But must admit, cash is nice :)

I would hope about 50, since I feel that is the age for women when rest and relaxation is needed. WOuld love to have more time for the grandkids and traveling or causes I support. But realistically probably 62....so I voted 54-64.

I can definitely see a change in my dad too. I don't know if it's just the aging process or directly related to not working but he used to be sharp as a tack and I find lately he forgets a LOT!

I think it's a combination of both actually. My dad wasnt able to drive anymore either due to his poor eyesite, so that definitely slowed him down so to speak.
