Just my two cents. My Husband and i have been "Together" (not physically of course all the time...) for five years. From the early years, all I have are letters...tons of them but that's it...no pictures, phone bills, e-mails.

This is because when we first started going out, I never once thought, "Wow, I might have to PROVE that this is real one day..." To me it was just a relationship like my others.

Does that make sense? I think if I had saved EVERY SINGLE thing from the begninning, like I Knew we'd be going through immigration looks more sketchy? Like that was the plan all along. I never DREAMED five years ago I'd be dealing with all this....it just worked out the right way :)

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Actually, I never considered that I would need to have my husband prove our marriage is for real (other than to prove it is legal...like our marriage certificate and our divorce decrees.) We live here together in the UK and have a joint bank account etc. Would we need to bring our family photo album or something?!

Things such as your joint bank account, etc would go towards evidence. Have you got a lease in both names for housing? Medical? etc etc. Any photos, anything that proves your marriage is bona fide. As has been said, each case is different as to how it is proven.

We do have a joint account, but my name is not on the mortgage as he lived here before we married and I moved over. We have lots of photos of the four of us at all times of the year/holidays etc. We don't have private medical here in the UK so just our individual NHS numbers. Hmmmm...will have to think of something else too I guess.
