Fair Enough..both parties do it until we want to throw up in our mouths for a variety of reasons

But what it did was put a few blacks in Congress but pretty much made their vote irrelevant in most of the state

Glad to see Fox News coming down on the side of truth in admitting that congressional districts are classified by race after southern Republican legislatures have Gerrymandered them.

In 2012 North Carolina Democratic votes outnumbered Republican votes for congressional district but Republicans won 9 of 13 seats. Despite winning the popular vote, only 4 seats out of 13 went to Dems.

The father's of our Constitution were afraid of uneducated voters being allowed to vote. Was that a legitimate fear? Of course it's legitimate. Allowing people to vote who can't even answer the most basic questions about the United States undermines the fabric of the country. But, that will never happen in a country that gets all pissnvinegar about even having to show ID to vote. It should be required for all Americans to pass a citizenship test before getting a driver's license, graduate from high school, and especially to vote.

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."

Too bad it was Republicans that have illegally drawn this district to concentrate the Democratic vote in one district thereby guaranteeing Republican majorities in multiple districts in the area. They went out of their way violating and trampling on the State Constitution to make this happen. They've been thoroughly rebuked by the courts for this.

In a ruling released late Thursday, Circuit Court Judge Terry Lewis blasted the Republican establishment that created Florida's congressional map, saying they "made a mockery" of transparency, allowed for "improper partisan intent" and he ordered that two of the state's 27 districts drawn in 2012 violate the Fair District standards.

In his 41-page ruling, the judge rejected challenges to districts in South Florida and that Tampa Bay but said that District 5, held by Democrat U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown, and District 10, held by Republican U.S. Rep. Dan Webster, "will need to be redrawn, as will any other districts affected thereby."

That's the story across the country. In 2012, Democrats received 1.4 million more votes than Republicans and yet Republicans enjoyed a 234 to 201 majority in the House. And then they want talk about the will of the American people. Gimme a break! The only way Republicans can win elections is by gerrymandering.

No sure what you are saying...Democratic votes outnumbered Republican votes for congress in the state , yet only 4 out if 13 seats went to the democrats. What does voter registration or qualifications for voting?
