Hello everyone,

I received today a Case Docs Check list by my lawyer and I wanted to ask you guys if it is realistic?

  1. Copy of long-form birth certificate/document issued by legal authority containing names of both parents

    Required

  2. Passport: copy of entire passport(s) including blank pages(NOTE: Passport must be valid for at least six months)

    Required

  3. Photographs - two (2) color, passport type 2 x 2 inches, facing camera Required
  4. Police certificate of record from all countries where you were arrested or if never arrested, every country where you lived since age 16. Contact our office if you need assistance obtaining these certificates. Required
  5. Employment verification letter from current employer, stating job title, rate of pay, hours worked per week, and job description. Required Not Received

does the NVC really need all of my passport pages? even the empty ones?

Number 5. I am not yet employed in the US? do they need a letter from my employer in Germany? My US Citizen petitioner is also a student and does not have a job yet? I am so confused? :(

another important point, in the questionnaire he send me, he asked if I ever obtained a social security number and if yes, what was the number (the problem is that I went to the US for a work and travel exchange program on a J-1 visa (the 2 year rule does not apply), and they issued me a SSN that is valid for work only, but I lost my wallet long time ago and the number was lost inside of it) what should I do regarding this matter? please help me :(

thanks!

No they just need a copy of the bio data page. The petitioner should be the one who needs to provide proof of current employment.
