Again, look at my sig.

I got a touch on July 7th, then another one 2 months later. In between that time I had my biometrics and got my interview letter. I don't think what you're experiencing is that odd. Frustrating? Yes. Unusual? No.

BTW - I got my interview notice about a month after biometrics, so you're within errors there too.

I'm not just talking about touches ;) ... I'm talking about ANY kind of action on my application. I've had nothing, nada, zip. I'm hoping that I will get something soon (hopefully the interview notice!) - some of the people who got their NOA's around the date I did (see here), already have their interview notices or were transferred to CSC!

I think you probably should be getting the interview notice real soon, but remember that everyone's timeline is a little different and a lot depends on how busy your local office is as to when you get your interview.

I know the waiting is frustrating, but right now that's all you can do.

what exactly do you want to happen? Does everyone sitting in the AOS forum want instant-gratification-Greencard-when -transferred-to-CSC????? Seriously, you filed less than 2 months ago, I cannot understand when people don't see these vague *touches* they somehow think their cases are stalled! Seriously, just relax.

Not just looking for touches--I know they don't mean anything. I'm specifically looking for notices. I called in 45 days ago to report a typo of my name on my NOAs (wrong middle name), and they said they'd send me a notice saying it's been taken care of within 45 days. I have nothing so far. But I've made an infopass appointment and hoping I can get it fixed there! The 1-800 is definitely the misinformation line. I worked for the government back in Canada, so I know how long it can take for things to get done. It doesn't hurt, however, to let one's frustrations out.

sure let your frustrations out! It's what VJ has become! A vent-all! I was really responding to your mulitple posts about no touches and no interview notices post-biometrics, and thinking maybe you may be stalled. All local offices are different, in my case we didnt receive a biometrics letter for WOW a WHOLE 4 months after filing!!!!!!! imagine that. four months with no word. The world is ending obviously. Then the interview 3 months later!

obviously I am being sarcastic, but there is such a crazed trend on this forum with boo-hoo 3 months and no word... :crying: something is wrong with my case!!!!!

Infopass is what you need, or perhaps get the correction made at your interview. The misinformation hotline is basically useless, you should probably just accept that no matter what they told you they'd do to fix the issue, they didn't do it.

Sorry to hear that... 4 months for the biometrics is so out of the norm. But at least you're all done now (I am assuming you are).

We're all human... it's okay to get anxious. Some people obviously take anxiety better than others

Ah... so that's what the sarcasm is hiding. Again, sorry to hear that... if you've been waiting almost 2 years, they say you should be getting your 10-year GC instead of the 2-year one. Hey, at least you won't have to worry about filing to remove conditions if this is the case. And I hope you did file for your EAD and/or AP (and get them!). (Sorry, you have no timeline so I don't know).

Yeah, and almost all of the people who were transferred to CSC before me along with a whole lotta people after me have been approved but nothing for us. Just goes to show that timelines can vary so much so when you have fallen behind those who filed around the same time as you it only serves to get depressing when you start comparing :(

Yup :(. But oh well, c'est la vie. I think it's all just about luck when it comes to the visa journey.

You were transferred to CSC... it's any day now! Keeping my fingers crossed for you since it looks like you've been waiting a while. At least you now have your EAD! I could care less about waiting for my GC if I had my EAD... I can't get my driver's license without it and I live in a place where the bus only runs every hour, so imagine how frustrating it can get not being able to go anywhere or do anything while the hubby is at work. Poo.

Well, there ARE really no buses running where I am so my hubby couldn't go anywhere from May-Oct, so although I don't understand how you feel I'm sure he does! I don't like to complain about my case since we do have the EAD and others have been waiting a LOT longer, but it does all get a bit annoying after awhile wondering what is going on.

I'm new to VJ but not new to immigration.

I have to admit I don't understand the mentality of getting all worked about waiting more than 60 or so days for AOS.

Surely there are more people who DON'T get transferred to CSC than people who do. Why would anybody start to think they will get lucky and fall into the lower percentage?

I think its easy to have high expectations when so many other people on here are reporting CSC transfers. Its also easy to get frustrated when people report getting their green cards in 60 days from application and suchlike. A healthy dose of reality can be had by looking at the timelines features on this site.
