'Touches' not working ????

Hey - I wonder if anyone could help me? - Its a trivial question - but its annoying me!!

I signed up for the on-line 'case watching' with USCIS - and got notified of my NOA1's for AOS and EAD.

Since then, there have been no 'Touches' on these cases - although i received my Biometrics appt letter in the post.

I attended my biometrics in December - and last week received another letter giving me my AOS interview date (March).

My question is - shouldnt my on-line USCIS files have showed some 'touches' by now? - or been updated to show my interview date??

Also, will they deal with the EAD application at that interview also - or are they treated as 2 seperate things??

Thanks!!

I've never been touched besides a RFE back in December, we did our Biometrics late in Dec. and we were approved yesterday. Maybe we just dont have that "touch" luck, but it doesn't mean no one is working on your case. I had the same thing happend to me and look we're already recieving our green card very soon. Oh and as far as the EAD, it doesnt have anything to with the interview (thats what the lady at immigration told me) She said it will be useless once we get our GC, she said many people dont even file for it, cuase they are getting cases processed even before EAD are mailed out. So good luck hope this helps.

Whether the online case status works or not seems to depend on the phase of the Moon, among other, equally reliable things ;) Do not get too excited about what you see (or don't see) there. You might get approved without ANY touches/emails from them. Also, don't be surprised if you get an email (or, more likely, several emails) a month or two late.

I don't think there is an "EAD interview" - you will probably receive your EAD before your AOS interview.

Check out my signature. You will find us in exactly in the same boat as you. I feel ready to tear my hair out (or maybe someone else'). It's not like I want us to be approved tomorrow, I'd just like to know that my husband's file isn't rotting somewhere. Do me a favor and let me know if you get any touches or hear anything else, and I will do the same. Good luck!

It is not unusual to not get touches or to get touches, it's kind of hit or miss with their system. Some people go months without any touches, others get touched 10 times in a row and then get no notices for months. I also don't think the online system is updated reliably, so as long as you have your interview notice I wouldn't worry about the online stuff too much.

Yep, I'm in the same boat as sarahsmiles. See my signature: no touches whatsoever after my biometrics (that one touch afterwards was probably for biometrics). No interview letter yet either.

It's the last updated date on a case per the USCIS website.

I know... I am starting to get filled with dread. It doesn't help, in my case, that USCIS screwed up my name on the NOA1 for both my EAD and AOS. I called in about 45 days ago to let them know, and I haven't received any notice telling me it's been taken care of. I am going to call again, send a fax AND send a letter to them informing them of their mistake.

By the way, anyone know the fax number for the Missouri Service Center?

P.S. Why do people get stuck in "Name Check Hell"? Is it because their name is too common or because they're just unlucky? In my case, I have a rather not-so-common name so I don't know why else I'd get stuck there, unless I've just been unlucky :(

Don't worry about namecheck until after your interview. Your lack of touches is not related to that. In my case I didn't get any touches after biometrics or even when I got the interview letter, in fact there was a long time when I got no touches at all. Look at my sig for details.

It's been about a month since my biometrics, and I've haven't received an interview letter yet or notice saying I got transferred to CSC. I've noticed that most people get one or the other within a month of their biometrics. But for me and sarahsmiles it seems that is an exception. So I have no clue what's going on with my application, and I am starting to get really anxious.

Again, look at my sig.

I got a touch on July 7th, then another one 2 months later. In between that time I had my biometrics and got my interview letter. I don't think what you're experiencing is that odd. Frustrating? Yes. Unusual? No.

BTW - I got my interview notice about a month after biometrics, so you're within errors there too.
