What does my fiance say when he crosses into Canada to pick me up for my move?

It's a completely stupid question but of course I can't find an answer and I worry about everything. :|

My fiance is coming to Canada to celebrate Christmas with my family. After the holidays, he will be taking me back with him and I will be using my K1 visa.

... When my fiance comes into Canada and the border patrol asks him what his purpose is for coming to Canada... What does he say? "Visiting my fiance for Christmas, and then moving her back using her K1 Visa" just seems like a lot. Would it suffice to say "Visiting my fiance for Christmas" or is that technically a white lie?

OMG why am I worried about this lol!

10/03/2015 Received Green Card in the mail!!!

**I want to add this to my question. Should he bring anything?? A copy of our NOA2?? Is the border patrol going to even know what a K1 visa is or is this just over complicating things? That's why I want him to simply say that he is visiting his fiance for christmas... nngh..

My husband fiance at the time just told them he was coming to get me to move to the US. They asked him a few questions like how i was moving what visa and that was that.

I would have him bring any documentation he has regarding your visa. He should simply tell them the truth, stated simply. Answer only what they ask, without adding anything else. He should be fine. :)

I just did this in October, I simply said "my fiance was issued a K-1 visa, I'm coming to pick him up and bring him back with me". The agent asked me if the car I was driving was mine and if I was bringing anything with me to declare, that was it. I actually had no paperwork with me, I had an "oh sh-t" moment about 2 hours into the drive up because I didn't think about it until then but in the end it didn't matter.

My now husband did the same, flew up and then drove the Uhaul back down. He wasn't asked much, just who he was visiting and when he was returning. Remember, no need to volunteer your life story unless they ask for it. The Canadian border guys likely don't give a fig about your NOA 2 or any other 'American' visa paperwork.
