Hello everyone. I need help please. The interview is on dec 11 and we scheduled the medical at Medicos de Visas for monday dec 8. I just got a call from the clinic and they said we MUST have the original letter stating that the interview date. The problem is that we never received the letter in the mail. I only received an email copy of the letter. The clinic said we cannot use the email printed copy and to go to the consulate to get an original letter. Can someone please tell me if they experienced the same thing? Now we are thinking we might loose the medical appt. :-( .

Please let me know.

Hello,

Did you also go through the same thing? I am seriously stressing out. I scheduled everything so we would not stress that much in Ciudad Juarez, with the medical exam on Monday, the biometrics on Tuesday, and the interview on Thursday. Now the clinic is asking me for the original interview letter. I told them I only received the email copy, but they were very firm and a little rude, that I need the original letter and without it my husband cannot take the medical exam  .

We are planning to go the consulate and ask them to print us a copy on Monday. But I am afraid we will not be able to get to the medical appointment on time. I am not sure how long will this take or if this is only something that this clinic, Medicos de Visas is asking or if all the other clinics are the same. I would really appreciate some help from anyone.

thank you,

Simply print that letter off, I did the same thing, wasn't a problem at all!!!

hi Fabiola252, we did print the letter, but the woman at the clinic said she will not let us do the medical exam if we do not have the original from the consulate. I am just wondering if the one the consulate prints at the information window will be the same as the one I print. I mean will they print it on their letterhead paper and will it have the logo or something?

Thank you for replying.

Hello alepenaflor, we just match what my husband has on his medical record and what was on the list of the vaccinations required. He has all of them except flu shot. So i think this will be the only one they will give him, hopefully. But we r not sure if this will be ok for them.

Honestly i think you will be fine if you just print out the actual attachment with the appointment letter you receive from NVC. My husband was there a few months back and took the letter we received via email and it was fine. i think they say the actual original letter because some people dont print the attachment just bring screen shots of a letter or just the email from nvc without the attachment so thats why they say to bring the actual letter. we did electronic process with NVC so we received everything via email. just print out the letter and take it though and it should be fine. my husband said although it is a stressful process because you want to make sure you have everything ready before getting there, everyone there is really helpful the whole time from the hotels, to the medical to fingerprint appt, they answer any questions and give you estimates of when to be at which place, etc. good luck!

Hello Everyone,

I just want to update this post. My husband had his medical exam on 12/8/14. We actually went to the consulate at 7:30 am and they were able to print the letter for us. This only took about 5 min, waiting in line and them printing it. For the medical exam we went to Medicos de Visas. They asked for the letter, my husband's passport, his vaccination record, and a paper with his address and my address. So incase anyone is wondering, yes you do need the letter. But you can print the actual letter that you receive in your email and take it. My husband got 4 vaccines. One of them was the influenza vaccine because of the season. He had all his vaccines but they still made him get the 4 vaccines.
